Resor

Strax efter äventyren i Sahara påbörjar Michael Palin en över 300 mil lång resa genom en region präglad av makt, storslagenhet och mystik. Han upplever nya extremer av rikedom och fattigdom, intensiv hetta och bitande köld. Återigen visar den före detta Monty Python-medlemmen prov på sin unika begåvning och vishet. Resan för honom genom Afghanistan och Indien, till den fruktade Dödens zon nära Mount Everests fot och vidare till Bhutans huvudstad innan han slutligen når Bengaliska viken.

Denna stad, som en gång hette Kristiania, har genom tiderna hållit en ganska låg profil. Oavsett om det gäller klimatet eller historiska händelser, har dess blygsamhet blivit en del av stadens atmosfär.
