INFORMATION OM PRODUKTEN
This box is a continuation of our successful series of Rockabilly rarities that resonated not only with dyed-in-thewool collectors but also young music fans who know of the black vinyl records only from hearsay. In the second half of the 1950s, when music was still "hand-made", there were young guys such as Elvis Presley and Gene Vincent whose intoxicating songs swept away the sentimental hits from juke boxes and radio stations.
Many of the hits by these great stars can be heard on the ten CDs, as well as largely unknown performers, for example Wink Martindale and Eddie Quinteros. But Country singers also tried their hands at Rock'n'Roll, for instance Dave Dudley and Marty Robbins who is represented here singing Little Richard's "Long Tall Sally". These 200 songs do not overlap with our earlier Rockabilly collections; many titles are sought-after rarities for whose original singles collectors today would have to pay handsomely.
