In 'One Piece: The Movie' (2000) the Straw Hats encounter a pirate captain named El Drago (Kenji Utsumi) who is hunting the legendary treasure hoard gathered by the mythical Woonan. El Drago scatters Luffy and his crew and presses on with his hunt, and so the Straw Hat pirates must regroup and find their own way to the island where the treasure is hidden if they wish to take it for themselves. In 'The Adventure of Spiral Island' (2001) the Straw Hat crew must fight their way up Spiral Island to reclaim their ship, the Going Merry, from the devious siblings who have stolen it. In 'Chopper's Kingdom in the Strange Animal Island' (2002) the crew finds Crown Island and the talking animals which inhabit it.
