Dansbandsveckan - En film om folkfesten där tusentals dansande svenskar njuter av musik och glad stämning under sju sommarkvällar till 82 olika dansband på sex pulserande dansbanor i Malung.<br/><br/>Dansbandsveckan ger oss hela historien om det ofantligt populära evenemanget som drar dansälskare till Malung varje år. Här får vi veta allt om vad som försiggår innan, under och efter. Hur kom detta till? Vi får träffa alla eldsjälar i Dalarna som gör det möjligt att ha ett arrangemang med över 50 000 personer på en liten ort. Besökarna berättar sina historier om varför de vallfärdar till Malung och dansbanorna i Orrskogen år ut och år in. Givetvis möter vi också några av de 82 dansband som spelar under tillställningen. Dokumentären ger också en inblick i den stora Guldklavengalan och de handgjorda priser som görs långt i förväg. Vi följer även med bakom kulisserna där det händer en massa roliga saker.<br/><br/>Regissören Matz Eklund har tidigare skildrat dansbandskulturen i Vill du dansa?, om och med bandet Larz Kristerz. Han har också gjort filmen Dansbandstjejer som porträtterar sångerskorna Sandra Estberg (Martinez), Erica Sjöström (Drifters) och Carolina Skaarup Lagerborg (Callinaz).<br/><br/>I Dansbandsveckan sätter Eklund fokus på Sveriges största festival i genren. Svenska dansbandsveckan drar musiker, musikälskare, dansare och danslärare till Malung i Dalarna under ett par intensiva sommardagar varje år. Festivalen är en kär tradition på orten där man arrangerat dansbandsveckan i sin nuvarande form ända sedan mitten av 80-talet.

By 2009, The Allman Brothers Band had morphed into a line-up that consisted of Gregg, Jaimoe and Butch, guitarists Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks, bassist Oteil Burbridge and Marc Quinones on percussion. In tune with each other musically, philosophically and personally, these players were hitting on all cylinders as they prepared to mark the band&#039;s 40th anniversary with a no-holds-barred celebration during the group&#039;s annual stand at the historic Beacon Theatre in New York City. This rustic venue had become a favored spot for the ABB to play in Manhattan, in the tradition of the Fillmore East. 40 is a very special number, and this DVD proves why The Allman Brothers Band is a special group indeed. Savor every note of every song, because chances are a band the likes of this one will not come our way again. The Live DVD was recorded and filmed at the Beacon Theatre March 26, 2009.
