GRAMMY winning singer, songwriter, and pianist Norah Jones' ninth solo studio album Visions is a collaboration with producer and multi-instrumentalist Leon Michels that is introduced today with the official video for the album's lead single "Running." The song was co-written by Jones and Michels and features Norah on vocals, piano, guitar, and bass with Leon on drums and baritone saxophone.<br/> <br/>Visions is a vibrant and joyous 12-song set that finds Jones singing about feeling free, wanting to dance, making it right, and acceptance of what life brings. It's the yang to the yin that was Pick Me Up Off The Floor, Jones' last album of new original songs which was released early in the pandemic lockdown of 2020 and foreshadowed many of the dark emotions of that period.

Her concert debut, a classical recital, was given when she was 12. An upcoming talent. Her parents, who had taken seats in the front row, were forced to move to the back of the hall to make way for white people. An emerging civil rights activist was formed. In 1958 she recorded her first studio album for Bethlehem Records, followed by Colpix and Philips and in 1967 RCA Victor. 'Nuff Said! spawned the hit-singles "Ain't Got No - I Got Life" and the Bee Gees cover "To Love Somebody". After "Mississippi Goddam", from the same album, a civil rights message was the norm in Simone's recordings and became part of her concerts. In 1969 Simone recorded "To Be Young, Gifted And Black". Renditions of the song have been recorded by Aretha Franklin and Donny Hathaway.

Även Ann-Louise Hanson, Towa Carson & Anna-Lena Löfgren är exempel på artister som slagit igenom som sångare i orkestern. <br/><br/>Leif Kronlunds Orkester drar tusentals dansande och dussintals fullastade bussar från hela landet till sina showkvällar. 2017 blev Kronlund trefaldigt prisbelönad - inklusive av kungen för sina tjänster för dansen. Nu firar han det med att ge ut ett helt nytt album, "Keep Swinging", som spelats in i samma studio i Stockholm där han gjorde sina första inspelningar för mer än 60 år sedan.
