Fyra tonåringar upptäcker ett gammalt tv-spel de tidigare aldrig hört talas om och blir snabbt fängslade av spelets djungelmiljöer. De antar spelfigurernas personor: spelnörden Spencer blir en orädd äventyrare, sportfånen Fridge förvandlas till ett geni, den populära tjejen Bethany blir till en medelålders manlig professor och den väna Martha transformeras till en tuff krigare.
