After a series of 12"s containing highly-touted remixes from Battles 2011 album Gloss Drop, Warp proudly presents all eleven re-works, available for the first time in one place--Dross Glop. Remixers include a who's who of iconic music production from around the globe--from Scotland's Hudson Mohawke to Seattle'sShabazz Palaces. From one of the original UK bass music pioneers--Kode9, to noise pop's darling producer Brian Degraw (Gang Gang Dance). Each track from the critically acclaimed 2011 album sees a stunning re-work here, from dance-floor ready bangers to ethereal minimalism--a tough task with a sound as iconic as Battles, but a truly successful endeavor.

Detta bands andra platta är precis vad deras nyfikna fans vill ha! En instrumental (nästan) rock av det lite vilda, lite experimentella slaget! Bandets medlemmar är/har varit medlemmar även i t.ex. Tomahawk, Don Caballero och Helmet, de har spelat på All Tomorrows Parties 2 gånger! Musken är som en hårdare Tortoise, som ett ungt Crimson, som bra musik helt enkelt! Battles return this autumn with Juice B Crypts on Warp Records to follow their complex, mind-bending predecessors Mirrored, Gloss Drop and La Di Da Di. Their latest album is a sensory overload of information that throws everything you thought you knew about Battles into flux once again. Battles redefined line-up puts Ian Williams (Keys, Electronics) and John Stanier (Drums) at the core of the covertly named Juice B Crypts, which was produced and mixed by Chris Tabron (Trash Talk, Mobb Deep, Ratking). Marrying synthesizer loops, cut-throat drum patterns and cyclical riffs, the album flirts with new technology, questions of authenticity and the technicalities of reinventing the wheel at the eleventh hour.
