Undoubtedly the weirdest top 10 song that ever hit the States, the song cemented Focus' stature in Pop/ Fusion circles. A killer riff by Jan Akkerman, at the time christened as one of the best guitar players in the world, backed up by thunderous rock drumming, sillyyodeling by flutist Thijs van Leer and churchy organ chords - who could have imagined this track would be the seminal Focussong?<br/><br/>The rest of the album is amelting pot of folky rock songs, boasting intricate melodies and harmonies that strike with finesse. Highlights include "Focus II", "Le Clochard" and the title track "Moving Waves", a sensitive piano piece.The B-sideconsists ofa 23 minute suite of progressive space rock called "Eruption" whichcanmatch the great progressivemusic of YES and Mike Oldfield.

Legendary Dutch progressive rockers Focus return with their 12th studio album, recorded in the world- renowned Wisseloord Studio in the Netherlands. The majority of the album has been written by Thijs van Leer who, at age 75, still rises at 4.30 am every day to work on his latest compositions. The unstoppable Pierre van der Linden takes up Focus drumming duties, as he has done for more than 50 years. This is the first Focus album to have been produced by band members Udo Pannekeet and Menno Gootjes - who also contribute compositions. The album features a first for a Focus album: a completely improvised piece, recorded as it spontaneously took place in the studio. Once again, Focus showcase their long-standing association with artist Roger Dean - whose beautiful artwork graces the packaging.
