Pavarotti
Luciano Pavarotti, född 12 oktober 1935 i Montale, död 6 september 2007 i Modena, var en italiensk operasångare (tenor). Han anses av många som den största operatenoren under hela 1900-talet.
Luciano Pavarotti debuterade på operascenen 29 april 1961 i rollen som Rodolfo i Puccinis La Bohème, i staden Reggio nell'Emilia, i norra Italien. Under 1960-talet blev han berömd för sina tolkningar av de stora klassiska tenorrollerna och befäste sin ställning under de följande årtiondena. Pavarotti medverkade, med några få undantag, endast i italienska operor där några av hans favoritkompositörer var Bellini, Donizetti, Verdi och Puccini.
