Ed Sheeran says - "Before I was signed in 2011, I made an EP called No.5 Collaborations Project. Since then, I've always wanted to do another, so I started No.6 on my laptop when I was on tour last year. I'm a huge fan of all the artists I've collaborated with and it's been a lot of fun to make".

Första singeln från albumet X (Multiply) är ett samarbete med superstjärnan Pharrell Williams som har titlen SING och gick direkt in på som 1:a i England. SING är en energifylld låt där den blott 23-åringe Sheeran anspråklöst visar prov på hur sin musikalitet sträcker sig bredare än den singer-songwriten vi hittills bekantat oss med. <br/> <br/>Albumet X bjuder även på ett mer moget sound där Ed Sheeran både även bjuder in till sitt välbekanta avskalade låtskrivande i låtar som One, låten Ed släppte en akustisk version av på Youtube.<br/> <br/>Som lyssnare kan vi tydligt höra hur Ed Sheerans alltid så fantastiska röst och sångkapacitet utvecklats enormt under de gångna två åren som mestadels spenderats i USA. Sheerans finkänslighet som låtskrivare och sångare gav honom välförtjänt en mängd priser och utmärkelser då han släppte debutalbumet "+" år 2012 och bl a vann Best British Breakthrough och Best British Male på Brit Awards, samt gick rakt in på #1 på brittiska albumlistan.
