In 2005, Private Joe Bowers (Wilson) is a soldier chosen to take part in a secret military scientific experiment in which he will be put into induced hibernation for one year, along with a woman named Rita (Maya Rudolph). Bowers is chosen for the assignment because he is statistically the most average man in the army, while Rita is a hooker ordered to do community service. Unfortunately, Bowers and Rita are forgotten about when the military base where the experiment took place is closed down, and when they wake up in the year 2505. Bowers finds himself living in a society where intelligence has taken such a landslide he's now the smartest man in the world.

This year however, the convictions of both mother and child are challenged when a kindly old man (Gwenn) is hired as the store Santa and insists that he is in fact the real thing. No one believes him, some even think he's insane, but he is willing to go to court to prove his case. Kris Kringle, however, believes he is the genuine Santa Claus and this devotion to the cause makes him very popular indeed, leading to record profits for the store. This annoys rival retailers so much that they try to discredit the so-called Santa, leading eventually to a court case in which Kringle and his lawyer try to prove that he is the real thing.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

As Dorothy Vaughn (Spencer), Katherine Johnson (Henson) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe) put their brains to the test, calculating the flight trajectories for Project Mercury and the mission to the moon, their jobs must be done while also trying to prove wrong those who think women, especially black women, do not belong in the workplace. The cast also includes Kevin Costner, Jim Parsons and Kirsten Dunst. The film was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards for Best Performance By an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture (Spencer) and Best Original Score - Motion Picture (Hans Zimmer/Benjamin Wallfisch/Pharrell Williams), and three Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Supporting Actress (Spencer).<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>
