Deeply unhappy with her new situation, Katherine soon finds an escape in the form of servant Sebastian (Cosmo Jarvis) and the pair begin having an affair. However, when Alexander learns of her betrayal and reacts violently, Katherine and Sebastian are forced to take matters into their own hands in an attempt to get some retribution of their own. When Troy (Liam Leone) steals a locket hanging on a ruined fire tower in the woods, a brutal murderer is resurrected from his grave. Local legend holds that before he died, Johnny (Ry Barrett) was tricked into climbing the fire tower and was scared by someone waiting at the top, causing him to fall to his death. After that, his vengeful spirit began killing people. Now, Johnny wants his mother's locket back and so he begins methodically hunting Troy and his friends, violently dispatching anyone who stands in his way. The cast also includes Andrea Pavlovic, Cameron Love and Reece Presley.

The feature interviews eight affected people and uses expert testimonies to shed light on the condition which immobilises sufferers while they are suspended in a transitional state between being awake and asleep but are still fully aware of their surroundings. Accompanying symptoms include the appearance of terrifying hallucinatory figures, referred to as shadow men, that victims are physically unable to fight off and other disturbing visions.
