In 'Shikoku' (1999), Hinako (Yui Natsukawa) returns home to Shikoku and learns that her childhood friend Sayori (Chiaki Kuriyama) drowned several years ago. Sayori's mother Teruko (Toshie Negishi), a Shinto priestess, is acting strangely and as Hinako investigates, she learns about an ancient folk-tale that could bring her friend back to life. 'Isola: Multiple Personality Girl' (2000) is set in the aftermath of the Kobe Earthquake in 1995. Yukari Kamo (Yoshino Kimura) is a psychic who travels to the area to help survivors but when she meets Chihiro Moritani (Yû Kurosawa), a girl with dissociative identity disorder, she realises that the trauma Chihiro has experienced has caused something dangerous to unfurl in her mind. In 'Inugami' (2001) young schoolteacher Akira (Atsuro Watabe) falls in love with with a local papermaker, Miki (Yuki Amami). Miki's family have lived in the same village for 900 years and, unbeknownst to Akira, are the guardians of evil spirits known as inugami. With Miki distracted by her new love, the spirits are able to slip loose from her control and inflict terrible harm on those who challenge them. In 'St. John's Wort' (2001) Nami (Megumi Okina) has been creating artwork for a new video game based on images she's been seeing in her dreams. Accompanied by one of the game producers, Kohei (Yôichirô Saitô), she travels out to an abandoned house that she has recently inherited from her estranged father. As the pair explore the old mansion, filming their expedition with a digital camera and beaming the results back to their company as they go, they make a series of horrifying and grisly discoveries and also begin to realise that they themselves are being watched by a mysterious and malevolent presence through surveillance cameras in every room of the house. 'Carved: The Slit-Mouthed Woman' (2007) follows Kyoko Yamashita (Eriko Satô), a teacher investigating the disappearances of several children with help from her co-worker Noboru Matsuzaki (Haruhiko Katô). They soon come to realise that the spirit taking the children has ties to Noboru's own tragic past. In 'Persona' (2000) a bullied student adopts a new persona when he begins wearing a ceramic mask at school and soon, other students begin to follow his example. Using the anonymity bestowed by the masks, they act without fearing the consequences of their behaviour. Finally, 'Noroi: The Curse' (2005) follows paranormal researcher Masafumi Kobayashi (Jin Muraki) as he investigates the legend of an ancient demon. In 'Female Prisoner #701 - Scorpion' (1972) Matsu (Kaji), better known as Scorpion, lands in prison thanks to the evil manipulations of an ex-boyfriend. After suffering at the hands of the jailers and other prisoners, she must find a way to escape in order to get her revenge. In 'Female Prisoner #701 - Scorpion: Jailhouse 41' (1972) Matsu exacts a grim revenge on the male wardens at the prison. No male appendage is secure as she stalks the wings in a razor-frenzy. After enduring further brutal punishment, Matsu forms a new plan to escape, this time with the help of six fellow inmates. 'Female Prisoner #701 - Scorpion: Beast Stable' (1973) follows an escaped Matsu as she attempts to outrun her pursuers. After taking refuge in the home of a prostitute, things become difficult when she finds trouble with a local gang. Finally, in 'Female Prisoner Scorpion #701's Grudge Song' (1973) Matsu attempts to get revenge on a corrupt detective. In 'Stranger' (1991) Kiriko (Yûko Natori) works as a taxi driver at night and finds herself pursued relentlessly by a mysterious enemy. In 'Carlos' (1991) the eponymous Brazilian-Japanese criminal travels to Japan and becomes embroiled in the conflict between two warring yakuza families. 'Burning Dog' (1991) follows a gang of thieves who plan to rob an American military base in Okinawa but the heist ends in disaster and betrayal. In 'Female Prisoner Scorpion: Death Threat' (1991) an elite assassin tasked with entering a women's prison and eliminating an infamous prisoner encounters more than she bargained for during the course of her mission. 'The Hitman: Blood Smells Like Roses' (1991) follows Yuichiro Takanashi (Hideki Saijô) who takes on the yakuza in a desperate, revenge-fuelled frenzy after his fiancée is shot and killed. In 'Danger Point: The Road to Hell' (1991) yakuza hitmen Joji (Jô Shishido) and Ken (Aikawa) embark on a mission to locate a large amount of missing money and find their partnership tested in the process. However, when Rob loses his job the next day and returns home looking for support, Betty has left and has taken their new plaything with her...'Der Todesking' (1990) is comprised of seven episodes and starts with a body floating in blackness that slowly stretches from a foetal position and begins to decompose. It moves through more disturbing sequences and ideas including a girl scribbling the same word over and over, the reels of the film breaking down and a Nazi death camp sequence. 'Nekromantik 2' (1991) follows female nurse Monika (Monika M.) as she exhumes Rob's corpse after learning about his story through newspaper headlines. However, to her disappointment, Rob's corpse doesn't allow her the satisfaction she desires and she proceeds to destroy most of the body before embarking on a relationship with the fully-sentient Mark (Mark Reeder). But when Mark finds out about Monika's unconventional fetish it leads to an unexpected climax... Finally, in 'Schramm' (1993) Lothar Schramm (Florian Koerner von Gustorf) is a lonely man, murdering any strangers who knock on his door. Desperate for female attention, he kidnaps and drugs his prostitute neighbour Marianne (Monika M.), strips her naked and takes photographs of her body.
