While her father tries to investigate and prevent any further incidents, as the latest member of the county's police force, Sara finds herself drawn into a group of her fellow teenagers containing many of the victims' friends and begins a relationship with the local vicar's son Jamie (O'Connor). Bruno invites him into his car to dry off in some clean clothes and, after Robert accepts his kind invitation, the pair set off along the West German border as Bruno travels from one old cinema to the next, discussing their lives, thoughts and hopes as they go.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD / Restored</i>

In Hamburg, American Tom Ripley (Hopper) convinces his boss to employ Jonathan Zimmerman (Bruno Ganz), who is dying from a rare blood disease, to kill his next target, a rival gangster. Although he at first refuses, Ripley convinces Zimmerman to carry out the hit by convincing him his illness is worse than he believes. Picking up a woman in a cinema, he takes her back to his hotel and impulsively strangles her, then takes a bus to a village where he tries to find an old girlfriend.
