In 'Rynox' (1931) a wealthy businessman is being threatened by a mysterious stranger. When he is found murdered, his son takes over his company and begins searching for the man responsible for his father's death. In the process, he uncovers a tragic secret. In 'Hotel Splendide' (1932) a thief is released from prison and travels to the site where he buried his stolen jewels only to discover that a hotel has been built there in the interim. 'The Night of the Party' (1934) is set during a dinner party hosted by the ruthless Lord Studholme (Malcolm Keen). When he is murdered during a party game, the police must uncover which of the guests is responsible for the crime. In 'Her Last Affaire' (1936) a politician's wife is found dead at a country inn but the investigation stalls when the only suspect has an alibi. Finally, 'Behind the Mask' (1944) is an abridged version of 'The Man Behind the Mask' (1936) and follows an attempted theft at a masked ball.<br/><br/><i>Typ: Blu-ray / Remastered</i>

However, each time he attempts to graft their skin onto Christiane's face, the surgery proves unsuccessful. Wandering samurai Sanjuro Kuwabatake (Mifune) arrives in a rural town in 19th century Japan which is overrun with criminals and is being fought over by two rival gangs. Determined to free the townsfolk from the oppressive grip of the gangsters, Sanjuro sparks open war between the two sides in the hope that they will destroy each other. However, his plans are complicated by the arrival of Unosuke (Nakadai), the younger brother of one of the gang leaders who prefers guns to swords and upsets the balance of power in the town. The cast also includes Seizaburô Kawazu, Isuzu Yamada and Daisuke Katô.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>
