Outspoken priest Urbain Grandier (Oliver Reed) finds himself accused of seducing a group of hysterical nuns while in demon form by Mother Superior Sister Jeanne (Vanessa Redgrave), who is obsessed with Grandier and driven into a fit of envy when he marries another woman. With the involvement of charismatic exorcist Father Barre (Michael Gothard), the affair turns into a sordid mass exorcism of the tainted convent. With much controversy surrounding its subject matter of religion combined with violence and sex, many cuts were made to the film in order for it to attain certification.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

Wandering samurai Sanjuro Kuwabatake (Mifune) arrives in a rural town in 19th century Japan which is overrun with criminals and is being fought over by two rival gangs. Determined to free the townsfolk from the oppressive grip of the gangsters, Sanjuro sparks open war between the two sides in the hope that they will destroy each other. However, his plans are complicated by the arrival of Unosuke (Nakadai), the younger brother of one of the gang leaders who prefers guns to swords and upsets the balance of power in the town. Tahei (Minoru Chiaki) and Matashichi (Kamatari Fujiwara) are two peasants hoping to make their fortunes by becoming soldiers but they run into trouble when they are mistaken for members of the Akizuki clan which has just been defeated after a fierce battle. Meanwhile, Rokurota Makabe (Mifune), a renowed Akizuki general, is attempting to escort Princess Yuki (Misa Uehara) to safety. When he encounters the two peasants, he realises they may be useful to him but as the four of them travel together, they face many challenges and Tahei and Matashichi's cowardice and greed could jeopardise Makabe's mission. Wandering samurai Sanjuro Tsubaki (Mifune) encounters a clan of samurai who have been betrayed by the local superintendent. They had intended to present a formal accusation of corruption within their clan but would have been crushed by the superintendent's men had Sanjuro not defended them. Sanjuro soon finds himself embroiled in a plot to kidnap the local chamberlain and facilitate a power grab by the superintendent, but jaded as he is, Sanjuro feels he must also object to the behaviour of his fellow samurai. The cast also includes Tatsuya Nakadai, Yunosuke Ito and Masao Shimizu.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

André Jurieux (Roland Toutain) has just crossed the Atlantic in his plane and receives a hero's welcome upon landing in France. He is met by his friend Octave (Renoir) and together they attend a weekend retreat hosted by the Marquis de la Chesnaye (Marcel Dalio), the husband of the woman André loves. At a masked ball, a series of romantic liaisons, rivalries and misunderstandings end in tragedy - though it is of little care or consequence to the bourgeoisie.
