I huvudrollerna ser vi heta stjärnskotten Danielle Panabaker (Friday the 13th), Katarina Bowden (30 Rock) och Chris Zylka (The Amazing Spider-Man) som spelar mot kultstjärnor som David Hasselhoff (Baywatch), Gary Busey (Point Break), Ving Rhames (Piranha 3D) och Christopher Lloyd (Tillbaka till framtiden).<br/><br/>Marinbiologstudenten Maddy sommarjobbar på vattenparken Big Wet som ägs av hennes sliskiga styvpappa Chet. Tillsammans med sina bästa polare inväntar de en invasion av festande "spring break"-lediga ungdomar och för att höja stämningen ytterligare har Chet anställt David Hasselhoff och ett gäng strippor som livvakter. Han har dessutom stulit parkens vatten från en närbelägen sjö. Tyvärr råkar det vara Lake Victoria och med vattnet kommer pirayorna - större, elakare och mer blodtörstiga än någonsin.
