When she refuses this assistance Chan stages a mock assassination attempt in order to have her comply. However, after discovering Chan's ruse Selina does not attend the trial and Chu Tao is released on bail. With Chu Tao back on the streets Selina is in more danger than ever before. Can Chan protect her as well as bring Chu Tao to justice? In the sequel, 'Police Story 2' (1988), Chan has been demoted to traffic duties following his heavy-handed manner. Unaware that one of those people is actually involved in the plot, the gang then make an attempt on Hua's life. Managing to escape and go into hiding, Hua then learns kung fu from local doctor and Wing Chun master Mr. Tsan (Bryan Leung) and, with the gang still on his trail, Hua and his friends must use their Wing Chun style of fighting to battle it out. In 'The Prodigal Son' (1981) Yuen Biao stars as Leung Chang, a tardy kung fu student from a wealthy family. He puts little effort into his studies but still continues to beat his opponents as his father always pays them to take a fall. In 'China O'Brien' (1990) police officer Lori 'China' O'Brien resigns from the force after she is involved in the accidental death of a young boy. Upon returning to her hometown of Beaver Creek in Utah where her father John (David Blackwell) is the sheriff, she discovers that local crime boss Edwin Sommers (Steven Kerby) is attempting to take over the town using violence and intimidation. When her father is murdered, China decides to run for sheriff and take a stand against Sommers. In 'China O'Brien II' (1990) the safety of Beaver Creek is jeopardised once again when fugitive drug lord Charlie Baskin (Harlow Marks) comes to town seeking revenge against a former associate who testified against him. When his gang begins terrorising the townsfolk, Sheriff China O'Brien and her deputies vow to put an end to their activities.<br/><br/><i>Typ: Blu-ray / Restored</i>

In 'The Invisible Ray' (1936) scientist Janos Rukh (Karloff) journeys to Africa with a group of fellow scientists including Felix Benet (Bela Lugosi) to locate and study an ancient meteorite. When he is exposed to its unknown radiation, he begins to glow in the dark and finds that his touch brings death instantly to anything living. As his mind is warped by the radiation, he begins to kill the other expedition members. 'Black Friday' (1940) finds mild-mannered professor George Kingsley (Stanley Ridges) fatally wounded. His friend Dr. Ernest Sovac (Karloff) performs illegal brain surgery to save him. After the operation, Kingsley is left with part of deceased mobster Red Cannon (also Ridges)'s brain and, as a result, suffers from a split personality. He tells Sovac about a secret stash of money that Cannon stole. To locate the cash, Sovac hypnotises Kingsley so that Cannon's personality will take over, but this only makes matters worse for the professor. Finally, 'The Strange Door' (1951), based on a short story by Robert Louis Stevenson, sees Karloff star opposite Charles Laughton. Unable to get over losing the hand of his beloved to his brother Edmund (Paul Cavanagh) two decades earlier, malicious madman Alain de Maletroit (Laughton) sets out to wreak his revenge. He plans to force his niece Blanche (Sally Forrest) to marry dishonourable drunkard Denis de Beaulieu (Richard Stapley), who Alain has tricked into believing has committed a murder. Meanwhile, Alain's meek, browbeaten servant Voltan (Karloff) tries to help Denis and Blanche escape from Alain's evil clutches.<br/><br/><i>Typ: Blu-ray</i>
