Robert Clouse directs this martial arts action adventure starring Bruce Lee, who died halfway through filming. When martial arts superstar Billy Lo (Lee) refuses to join a crime syndicate, they put a contract out on his life. When his gun is stolen, homicide detective Murakami (Mifune)'s desperate wish to retrieve it sends him deep into Tokyo's criminal underworld. Meanwhile the gun is passed from the pickpocket who stole it to a young gangster and is then used in the killing of an innocent woman.
