However, when Graham becomes involved with Lady Britt he quickly discovers that the couple are actually in dire financial trouble and have been living beyond their means for some time. Having concocted a plan to rob his own bank, Graham recognises that the Dorsets are the ideal accomplices - or would be if they weren't so flaky and at each other's throats all the time. The premise of the piece is that Handley is acting as the presenter of a live broadcast. 19 sketches are put forth in all, including a recurring joke about an actor whose attempts to make it into a Shakespeare play are continually thwarted. 'Hold My Hand' (1938) sees a wealthy and benevolent man whose luck takes a turn for the worse. Finally, 'Yes, Madam?'
