In 'Death On the Nile' (1978) Poirot (Peter Ustinov) finds himself on the hunt for a killer whilst on holiday in Egypt after rich heiress Linnet Ridgeway-Doyle (Lois Chiles) is murdered aboard a steamship travelling down the Nile. After discovering that a number of the other passengers had reason to kill her, Poirot faces a race against time to solve the case before the ship reaches port. In 'The Mirror Crack'd' (1980), excitement runs high when feuding film stars Marina Rudd (Elizabeth Taylor) and Lola Brewster (Kim Novak) arrive in the sleepy English village of St Mary Mead to begin work on a movie about Mary, Queen of Scots and Elizabeth I. Finally, in 'Evil Under the Sun' (1982), after actress Arlena Stuart Marshall (Diana Rigg) is strangled on a Mediterranean island, there is no shortage of suspects for Poirot (Ustinov) to investigate.
