Born in Sheffield to migrant Yemeni parents, Naseem is coached from the age of seven by Irish boxing trainer Brendan Ingle (Pierce Brosnan). Despite the racism and Islamophobia he faces, he rises to become a world champion. However, although he finds fame and success, his relationship with Ingle fractures beyond repair.
