Soundgardens tredje skiva "Badmotorfinger" lyfte upp gruppen till en ny nivå. Med mycket Led Zeppelin och Black Sabbath-riff i grunden, samt Chris Cornells underbara röst är detta en riktigt stark skiva. Trots det överträffades den, med knapp marginal, av uppföljaren "Superunknown" från 1994.
