The Agony Flame är bandets nionde studioalbum och blir uppföljare till plattan "Falling From Fame" från augusti 2021.<br/>Det nya albumet är mer dynamiskt än föregångaren som vid en jämförelse känns lite plattare i soundet. Ambitionen var att mejsla fram ett mäktigt sound där man samtidigt kan urskilja alla detaljer.<br/><br/>Takidas sound är, som med de flesta grupper, en blandning av medlemmarnas individuella influenser. Samtliga medlemmar har sina främsta rötter i 80-talet. Robert Pettersson bottnar i pop och husguden var när det begav sig Michael Jackson. Gitarristen Tomas Wallins husgudar finns i tysk 80-talsmetal som Running Wild, Accept och Helloween. Gitarristen Mattias Larsson är inne på textbaserade visor och rock som Lars Winnerbäck och Bruce Springsteen. Trummisen Kristoffer "Krille" Söderström har rötterna i grunge och multiinstrumentalisten Chris Rehn bidrar med de pampiga syntarna men står även för en del av metal-inslagen, inspirerad av den typ av klassiskt-möter-metal som kan hittas hos exempelvis Nightwish och Within Temptation.
