In 'The Purge' (2013) Ethan Hawke stars as the head of a family forced to fight for their lives. With crime in America spiralling out of control and prison populations soaring, the government of the day implements a drastic new initiative to address the problem. For a 12-hour period once a year, all crime, including murder, is legal, as the police and other emergency services stand down for the night, allowing the population to regulate itself. The Purge is deemed a success due to plummeting crime levels and record low unemployment figures. But after placing their upmarket home under its yearly lockdown, James and Mary Sandin (Hawke and Lena Headey) and their family find themselves under siege from a crazed group of masked killers when their teenage son (Max Burkholder) offers shelter to the mob's terrified prey. In 'The Purge: Anarchy' (2014), following on from events in the previous film, a year has passed and the time for society to purge itself of all murderous and violent urges has come back around. Desperate to get home to their children before the Purge commences, a young couple (Zach Gilford and Kiele Sanchez) find themselves stranded when their car breaks down, leaving them at the mercy of a mob of masked attackers. Meanwhile, Leo Barnes (Frank Grillo), a man looking to avenge the murder of his son, becomes the reluctant protector of a mother and daughter (Carmen Ejogo and Zoe Soul) on the run. In 'The Purge: Election Year' (2016), two years on from the Purge night where Leo chose not to seek revenge against the man who killed his son, he is appointed Head of Security for presidential candidate Charlene Roan (Elizabeth Mitchell). With Charlene the front runner in the election race due to her vow to end the Purge tradition, Leo's duty is to protect her and ensure she survives the upcoming Purge, the one night where lawless violence and chaos prevail. When an unfortunate turn of events results in the pair being cast out onto the streets of D.C. on the night of the Purge, they must seek help from a band of anti-Purge rebels in order to survive. In the prequel 'The First Purge' (2018), in an attempt to bring the crime rate down below one percent, the New Founding Fathers of America decide to sanction a social experiment which will allow citizens to vent their anger and frustration in a secluded community for one night only. However, the violence soon spirals out of control and trouble begins to spread across the country. Finally, in 'The Forever Purge' (2021), set eight years after the events of 'The Purge: Election Year', the annual Purge is reinstated by the New Founding Fathers of America. Migrant couple Adela and Juan (Ana de la Reguera and Tenoch Huerta) are forced into hiding to survive the lawless night, but when they emerge the following day, they discover that a band of nationalist militants known as the Purge Purification Force have decided that the Purge must be extended indefinitely. In 'Frankenstein' (1931) scientist Henry Frankenstein (Colin Clive) has become alienated from his friends and bride-to-be through his obsessive determination to create life. Frankenstein has created a monster (Boris Karloff) out of body parts acquired by his dwarfish assistant, Fritz (Dwight Frye), and succeeds in giving it life during an electrical storm. However, due to a mistake by Fritz, the creature possesses the brain of a killer, and after the dwarf torments it to breaking point, Frankenstein's creation escapes and goes on the rampage, terrorising the local community. In 'The Bride of Frankenstein' (1935) scientist Henry Frankenstein is recuperating, believing his creation to have been destroyed in a fire, when he receives a visit from his former mentor Dr Pretorius (Ernest Thesiger). Pretorius wishes Frankenstein to resume his experiments, but the latter refuses. When Pretorius then discovers the monster alive and now able to communicate, he uses it to kidnap Frankenstein's wife, thus blackmailing him into creating a mate. 'Son of Frankenstein' (1939) follows Baron Wolf von Frankenstein (Basil Rathbone), the son of scientist Henry Frankenstein, the monster's creator. When Wolf moves his family to an estate in a small village, the people in the community soon become very hostile towards him. With the help of demented blacksmith Ygor (Bela Lugosi), Wolf finds the monster's carcass and decides to bring it back to life, believing this to be the perfect way to restore his family's honour. In 'The Ghost of Frankenstein' (1942) Ygor seeks out Dr Ludwig Frankenstein (Cedric Hardwicke), son of the original Baron, in an attempt to revive the infamous monster (Lon Chaney Jr.). Ludwig initially refuses, seeing the creature as an instrument of evil, but changes his mind when he sees the opportunity to transplant the noble mind of the recently deceased Dr Kettering (Barton Yarborough) into the monster's body. Ygor, however, has other plans, and plots with Ludwig's unscrupulous colleague Dr Bohmer (Lionel Atwill) to substitute his own brain for Kettering's. In 'Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man' (1943) Larry Talbot aka the Wolf Man (Chaney Jr.) decides to seek a cure for his lycanthropic malady after being accidentally resurrected by grave robbers. With Dr Frankenstein now dead, Talbot is forced to turn to scientist Dr Frank Mannering (Patric Knowles) for help. Mannering claims that not only can he banish the Wolf Man forever, he also intends to resurrect Frankenstein's dormant monster (Lugosi). In 'House of Frankenstein' (1944) Dr Niemann (Karloff) escapes from the mental asylum in which he is being held and awakens Count Dracula (John Carradine), the Wolf Man and Frankenstein's monster (Glenn Strange) as he looks to gain revenge on his many enemies. In 'House of Dracula' (1945), Count Dracula arrives at the laboratory of Dr Edelmann (Onslow Stevens) claiming to seek a cure for his vampirism, but is actually looking to turn Edelmann's beautiful assistant into his vampire bride. Meanwhile, the Wolf Man asks Edelmann to bring his lycanthropy to an end. However, when the attempt to cure him fails, he throws himself off a cliff and ends up in an underground cavern where he discovers Frankenstein's monster. Finally, in 'Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein' (1948) baggage clerks Chick (Bud Abbott) and Wilbur (Lou Costello) find themselves in hot water when they lose a mysterious shipment en route to the House of Horrors. It transpires that the missing crates contained the remains of Count Dracula (Lugosi) and Frankenstein's monster, and have now been diverted to the island hideaway of a crazed scientist who wishes to revive the ghouls.<br/><br/><i>Typ: Blu-ray / Box Set</i>

In 'The Invisible Man' (1933) Dr. Jack Griffin (Claude Rains) discovers the secret of invisibility but in the process drives himself insane. Soon he is no longer satisfied with playing pranks on other people and his actions take a murderous turn. In 'The Invisible Man Returns' (1940) Geoffrey Radcliffe (Vincent Price) faces execution after being framed for the murder of his brother. His friend Dr. Frank Griffin (John Sutton), Jack Griffin's brother, helps Geoffrey to escape by providing him with the invisibility drug. However, as he attempts to uncover the identity of the real killer and clear his name, the police close in on him and the drug begins to have a terrible effect on his sanity. 'The Invisible Woman' (1940) follows Kitty Carroll (Virginia Bruce) who answers an advertisement placed by Professor Gibbs (John Barrymore), an eccentric scientist seeking someone who is willing to become invisible for one of his experiments. In 'Invisible Agent' (1942) Frank Griffin Jr. (Jon Hall), the grandson of Jack Griffin, uses the invisibility serum on himself so that he can execute a dangerous mission behind enemy lines in Germany during WWII. However, when he gets drunk, his behaviour threatens to expose him and derail the whole mission. 'The Invisible Man's Revenge' (1944) sees scientist Dr. Peter Drury (John Carradine) test his invisibility formula on escaped criminal Robert Griffin (Hall). The experiment is a success but Griffin decides to use his newfound invisibility to exact revenge against the Herrick family who betrayed him years before. Finally, in 'Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man' (1951), private detectives Bud (Bud Abbott) and Lou (Lou Costello) take their first case and must help boxer Tommy Nelson (Arthur Franz) who is accused of murdering his manager. When the police attempt to arrest Tommy, he eludes them by injecting himself with an invisibility serum created by his fiancée Helen (Nancy Guild)'s uncle. Tommy persuades Lou to find the real killer by going undercover as a boxer and is forced to help him out when he has to prove himself in the ring.<br/><br/><i>Typ: Blu-ray / Box Set</i>

In 'Creature from the Black Lagoon' (1954) members of an expedition in the Amazon discover a Gill-man who is half man and half amphibian. The creature is drawn to Kay Lawrence (Julie Adams), the girlfriend and colleague of expedition member Dr. David Reed (Richard Carlson), but its attempts to get close to her lead to its capture. When it escapes its confinement, it kidnaps Kay but her colleagues are determined to rescue her and kill the creature. In 'Revenge of the Creature' (1955) the Gill-man is captured and brought to an oceanarium in Florida. Animal psychologist Professor Clete Ferguson (John Agar) and zoology student Helen Dobson (Lori Nelson) begin working together to study the creature and soon fall in love. However, the Gill-man also wants Helen and when it escapes its tank, it attempts to abduct her and reach the open water to escape. Finally, in 'The Creature Walks Among Us' (1956), Dr. William Barton (Jeff Morrow) is tasked with leading a team to capture the Gill-man in the Everglades. The Gill-man begins to transform, becoming more human in appearance, but when Barton kills one of his colleagues and attempts to blame the Gill-man for the crime, the creature reacts badly and fights for its freedom.<br/><br/><i>Typ: Blu-ray</i>

'Jurassic World' (2015) picks up 22 years after 'Jurassic Park' (1993) as Isla Nublar, located off the Pacific Coast of Central America, is reopened as a dinosaur theme park. In order to boost attendance, operations manager Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) asks the park's geneticists to create genetically modified hybrid dinosaurs, the latest product of their experimentation being the Indominus rex. But when the Indominus rex escapes and begins killing other dinosaurs for sport, it's left to park staff member and behavioural researcher Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) to clean up the mess. In 'Jurassic World - Fallen Kingdom' (2018), with the Jurassic World theme park now lying in ruin, the dinosaurs of Isla Nublar have been left to roam freely round the island. However, with a massive volcanic eruption threatening their existence, former park operations manager Dearing recruits ex-dinosaur trainer Grady and heads back to the island in a bid to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from the impending disaster. With time running out, the pair soon find their plans complicated further when they uncover a conspiracy which could put the future of the world at risk.<br/><br/><i>Typ: Blu-ray</i>

In 'The Fast and the Furious' (2001) undercover cop Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) is assigned to the Los Angeles illegal street racing scene to search for the criminals behind a string of hijackings. His prime suspect is Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), whose passion for Japanese fast cars is matched only by his enthusiasm for stealing hi-tech equipment. In '2 Fast 2 Furious' (2003) O'Conner finds himself on the trail of another group of underground car enthusiasts. This time the location is Miami, where O'Conner has been making money out of street racing and is tasked with bringing down the drugs baron Carter Verone (Cole Hauser) in exchange for wiping clean his criminal record. In 'The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift' (2006) street racing loner Sean Boswell (Lucas Black) avoids jail time by absconding to Tokyo to live with his uncle in a cramped apartment. In the land that gave birth to the majority of modified racers on the road, the simple street race has been replaced by drift racing, an even more deadly combination of brutal speed on heart-stopping courses. Boswell inevitably gets drawn into the racing and the complexities of the underworld which surround it. In 'Fast & Furious' (2009) fugitive ex-con Dominic Toretto reignites his feud with agent O'Conner on the streets of Los Angeles, but as the two men find themselves facing a common enemy in the form of a heroin importer, their attempts to infiltrate his operation result in an unlikely alliance. In 'Fast & Furious 5' (2011) Toretto and his sister Mia (Jordana Brewster) are forced to enlist O'Conner's help once again as they find themselves cornered by a ruthless drugs gang in Rio de Janeiro. But the Rio gangsters are not the only ones on Toretto's tail; wily federal agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) has also been assigned to track down the pair, and will stop at nothing to corner his prey. In 'Fast & Furious 6' (2013) Toretto and the rest of his compatriots are forced to kill time lying low in different locations around the world following their lucrative Rio heist. When agent Hobbs offers Toretto and his crew full pardons in return for taking down Owen Shaw (Luke Evans)'s gang of mercenary drivers, the offer seems too good to pass. But as the rivals head for a showdown on the streets of London, Toretto learns that Shaw's second in command is none other than his presumed dead former lover, Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). In 'Fast & Furious 7' (2015) the group are now being targeted by Shaw's ex-special forces brother Deckard (Jason Statham). Left with no choice but to defend themselves, it isn't long before Toretto, Hobbs, O'Conner and the rest of the gang become embroiled in a feud between international terrorists and the US government. Finally, in 'Fast & Furious 8' (2017) the team are left shocked when their leader Toretto betrays them after being seduced into a world of crime by international cyberterrorist Cipher (Charlize Theron).
