Petr Jákl writes and directs this historical action drama about the early adult life of Jan Zizka (Ben Foster), a knight and mercenary who would later become a famous military commander during the Hussite Wars. As feuding brothers King Wenceslas IV (Karel Roden) and King Sigismund (Matthew Goode) vie to be crowned Holy Roman Emperor, Zizka is tasked with kidnapping Katherine (Sophie Lowe), the fiancee of Henry Rosenberg (Til Schweiger), one of Sigismund's closest allies, to ensure that Wenceslas will prevail.
