But when she begins to get lost in a comic flurry of bungled state engagements and over-eager media attention, the prospective princess begins to wonder if the royal life is really the right life for her. In 'The Princess Diaries 2 - Royal Engagement' (2004), American high school graduate Mia Thermopolis has just turned 21, and is being groomed to succeed her grandmother as Queen of Genovia. But it materialises that an ancient Genovian law decrees that unmarried women cannot take the throne, and the bitter Viscount Mabrey (John Rhys-Davies) and his cronies oppose her coronation. 'Pocahontas' (1995) follows the eponymous character and her tribe, whose lives are dramatically changed by the arrival of a shipload of English settlers. Amongst them is handsome adventurer Captain John Smith (Mel Gibson) who falls for Pocahontas. However, her powerful father, Chief Powhatan (Russell Means), disapproves of the relationship, and when it becomes apparent Smith's fellow settlers are planning on robbing the Native Americans of their gold, Pocahontas is forced to use her position to try and save the day. In the sequel, 'Pocahontas II - Journey to a New World' (1998), Pocahontas is on a peace mission to England, accompanied by dashing sea captain John Rolfe (Billy Zane). Upon arrival in London, Pocahontas prepares for the King's Ball, but the reappearance of both former beau John Smith (Donal Gibson) and disgraced Governor Ratcliffe (David Ogden Stiers) throws her into a quandary.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

In 'Lilo and Stitch' (2002) Lilo lives with her sister, Nani (Tia Carrere), in the beautiful surroundings of Hawaii. One day Lilo meets a strange alien who she decides to name Stitch and take home as her pet. Stitch at first causes trouble by destroying everything he can lay his hands on, but as time passes he becomes accustomed to the Hawaiian ways and is accepted as a regular part of the family. However, with representatives of Stitch's home planet following hot on his heels, it is unclear how long this happy situation can last. In 'Lilo and Stitch 2' (2005) Stitch is helping Lilo (Dakota Fanning) prepare for the big island hula contest. However, when Stitch, who was a result of one of Dr. Jumba Jookiba (David Odgen Stiers)'s experiments, gets a glitch, their perfect world goes haywire. Now it's going to take Lilo, Nani, Jumba and a whole lot of 'Ohana' for them to save their funny little friend. In 'Stitch! Meeting and forming a strong bond with intimidating Wookiee Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo), infamous gambler Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) and old friend Qi'ra (Emilia Clarke), Han sets out on an epic journey through the darkest reaches of space looking to stay one step ahead of some of the most feared characters in the galaxy. In 'Maleficent' (2014) the beautiful Maleficent (Jolie) is a kind-natured woman, but when she is betrayed while protecting her peaceful kingdom from an army invasion her heart begins to turn to stone. Maleficent takes her vengeance by putting a curse on Princess Aurora (Vivienne Jolie-Pitt), the young child of her enemy's successor. Over time, however, Aurora (Fanning) grows into a young woman and Maleficent comes to understand that the princess may be the only one who can bring peace back to the kingdom. In the sequel 'Maleficent: Mistress of Evil' (2019), set five years later, Aurora accepts Prince Philip (Harris Dickinson)'s marriage proposal, but her fairy godmother Maleficent remains opposed to the idea and clashes with Queen Ingrith (Michelle Pfeiffer) over the young couple's union before fleeing the kingdom. She is rescued by a group of kindred cast aside creatures plotting a resistance against Ingrith's secret plans to start a war and destroy the faeries of the Moors, and joins their fight, placing her relationship with Aurora in jeopardy.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

In '101 Dalmatians', Roger (Jeff Daniels) and Anita (Joely Richardson) meet and fall in love whilst out walking their dogs, Pongo and Perdy. They are married, and their hounds also prove compatible, producing a litter of fifteen black and white puppies. However, Anita's boss, fashion designer Cruella DeVil (Glenn Close), wants to skin the pups and turn them into a coat. To this end she sends her henchmen Jasper (Hugh Laurie) and Horace (Mark Williams) to kidnap the tiny canines. In the sequel '102 Dalmatians', freshly-released from prison, the infamous dog-botherer Cruella DeVil (Glenn Close) is apparently a reformed woman. So much so in fact, that she now owns her own dog shelter. But of course, it's not long before she's up to her old tricks, enlisting the help of Parisian designer Le Pelt (Gerard Depardieu), as she again attempts to realise her dream of owning a coat made from the fur of dalmation puppies. Never mind though, probation officer Chloe (Alice Evans) is keeping a watchful eye on Cruella, and with a little canine help she's going to do her best to foil the fur-lover's evil antics.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>
