In 'The Princess Diaries 2 - Royal Engagement' (2004), American high school graduate Mia Thermopolis has just turned 21, and is being groomed to succeed her grandmother as Queen of Genovia. But it materialises that an ancient Genovian law decrees that unmarried women cannot take the throne, and the bitter Viscount Mabrey (John Rhys-Davies) and his cronies oppose her coronation. In 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' (1996) bell ringer Quasimodo (voice of Tom Hulce) has been kept locked up in the cathedral since the time of his birth. Now a young man, Quasimodo ventures down into the streets for the first time and takes part in the Festival of Fools celebration. But the crowd begin to victimise him because of the way he looks, and he is only rescued by the similarly outcast Esmeralda (Demi Moore), a beautiful gypsy dancer. The pair then team up to combat a government minister's sinister plans and to try and bring a little kindness to the streets of Paris. In 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame II' (2002) Quasimodo visits the circus and falls for the beautiful Madellaine (Jennifer Love Hewitt). But while Quasimodo dreams of his heart's desire, the evil circus master Sarousch (Michael McKean) secretly plots to steal La Fidele, Notre Dame's famous jewelled bell. In '101 Dalmatians', Roger (Jeff Daniels) and Anita (Joely Richardson) meet and fall in love whilst out walking their dogs, Pongo and Perdy. They are married, and their hounds also prove compatible, producing a litter of fifteen black and white puppies. However, Anita's boss, fashion designer Cruella DeVil (Glenn Close), wants to skin the pups and turn them into a coat. To this end she sends her henchmen Jasper (Hugh Laurie) and Horace (Mark Williams) to kidnap the tiny canines. In the sequel '102 Dalmatians', freshly-released from prison, the infamous dog-botherer Cruella DeVil (Glenn Close) is apparently a reformed woman. So much so in fact, that she now owns her own dog shelter. But of course, it's not long before she's up to her old tricks, enlisting the help of Parisian designer Le Pelt (Gerard Depardieu), as she again attempts to realise her dream of owning a coat made from the fur of dalmation puppies. Never mind though, probation officer Chloe (Alice Evans) is keeping a watchful eye on Cruella, and with a little canine help she's going to do her best to foil the fur-lover's evil antics.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>
