On May 4th , 2018 the Grammy nominated blues rocker played London's world-famous Royal Albert Hall which became a landmark gig for the versatile vocalist and multi-instrumentalist. <br/>Known for her visceral, soul-baring vocals and dynamic range, Hart is riding a creative tidal wave following the release of her critically acclaimed 2016 studio album, 'Fire On The Floor,' as well as her just-released studio collaboration with guitarist Joe Bonamassa, 'Black Coffee.' Den 21 och 22:a januari förra året spelade Grammy-nominerade rock- och bluesgitarristen, sångaren och låtskrivaren Joe Bonamassa två unika akustiska konserter på anrika Carnegie Hall i New York. Båda konserterna spelades in och sammanställdes till Joe Bonamassa Live At Carnegie Hall - An Acoustic Evening. Utgåvan innehåller annorlunda arrangemang med akustisk sättning av en rad av Bonamassas klassiker tillsammans med nya låtar och sådana han aldrig tidigare spelat live.<br/><br/>Konserterna ingick in en speciell akustisk mini-turné i början av förra året då Bonamassa åkte runt med en antal renommerade musiker som den kinesiske erhuspelaren och cellisten Tina Guo, den egyptiske slagverkaren Hossam Ramzy, som bl a spelade på Page & Plants No Quarter, Reese Wynans (piano), Anton Fig (trummor), Eric Brazilian (mandolin, nyckelharpa, saxofon, akustisk gitarr och sång) samt den australiska sångartrion Mahalia Barnes, Juanita Tippins och Gary Pinto.

After two successful collaborations with 2012 "Don't Explain" and 2013 "Seesaw" Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa decided to tour for the first time. The duo did a very short exclusive run in prestigious venues, ending the tour with 2 sold out shows in the historic Carre Theater in Amsterdam. This beautiful location was where Beth Hart, known for her raw and powerful blues-rock sound, amazed everyone with a spectacular performance.

På den här plattan kände jag att jag bara behövde vara mig själv. Jag tror att detta är ett litet steg emot vem jag egentligen är. Jag vet kanske inte vart det leder...men det känns ok för mig."

"On this record, I wanted to stretch," says Bonnie Raitt. "I always want to find songs that excite me, and what's different this time is that I've tried some styles and topics I haven't touched on before."<br/><br/>With Just Like That..., her first new album in more than six years, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Raitt continues to draw on the range of influences that have shaped her legendary career, while creating something that speaks to the circumstances and challenges of these unprecedented times.<br/><br/>The title comes from a line in one of her new original songs ("Just like that your life can change"), which seemed especially fitting "because there's never been a time that made me look around and say, 'Nobody saw this coming'-where all of a sudden, everything shifted." <br/><br/>But the biggest surprises on Just Like That...are the four songs written by Raitt. "Living for the Ones," co-written with her longtime guitarist George Marinelli, is a rocking dedication to the friends and family she has lost in recent years, while the sardonic "Waitin' for You to Blow," about the devil on recovery's shoulder, is a funk/jazz hybrid inspired by Mose Allison, Les McCann and Eddie Harris, and '70s funk. "There's something thrilling about creating something brand new out of feelings and styles that have always run so deep in me," she says.<br/><br/>Two songs were inspired by real-life scenarios: "Down the Hall" began when Raitt read a New York Times story a few years ago about a prison hospice program, and the album's title track was sparked by a local news segment showing two families deeply impacted on both sides of an organ donation. <br/><br/>"These stories moved me deeply," she says. "And in the face of so much hatred and cruelty the last few years, these examples of redemption, and people acting out of love, were healing for me, and what I wanted to focus on and write about. <br/><br/>"I've always loved the early guitar songs of Dylan, Jackson Browne, Paul Brady, and especially John Prine," she adds. "With songs like 'Angel From Montgomery' and 'Donald and Lydia,' John was able to just climb inside and sing these people's lives. With his passing last year, his inspiration meant even more in writing these two songs."<br/><br/>Bonnie Raitt has never felt more grateful that she can continue making music, contributing to causes, keeping her crew working, and connecting with her audience. "I'm really aware of how lucky I am and I feel like my responsibility is to get out there and say something fresh and new-for me and for the fans," she says. "It's really daunting not to repeat yourself, but I have to have something to say, or I wouldn't put out a record."

The concert was recorded at the historic Vienna Opera House July 2012 during a very special two-week long unplugged tour, played to a limited audience over seven exclusive European shows. Varying from Bonamassa's predominantly electric blues shows, this presentation was an all-acoustic concert performance, making it a unique and very special show fans had been waiting years to experience.<br/><br/>The Opera House in Vienna, regarded as the "City of Music," was chosen for the main event because of its history and splendour, and association with many legendary composers. Accompanying Bonamassa on the same stage once graced by Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, Mahler, and Haydn are traditional Irish fiddler Gerry O'Connor, who also plays mandolin and banjo; Swedish multi-instrumentalist Mats Wester on the nyckelharpa, a keyed fiddle; Los Angeles-based keyboardist Arlan Schierbaum texturing the mix with celeste, accordions, toy pianos, and assorted "organic" instruments; and renowned Puerto Rican percussionist Lenny Castro.<br/><br/>Joe recalls, "Originally, when I had the idea of doing an all-acoustic concert, I imagined doing it solo. I'd surround myself with a bunch of guitars, tell the background story of each song, and then play it. Kevin believed the show would be more exciting with a band and he got to work. All of a sudden, we had a five-piece group, and 72 hours to rehearse 20 or so songs. It was amazing, different than anything I'd ever done before." <br/><br/>An Acoustic Evening at the Vienna Opera House features gorgeously textured music made with a wealth of rare, vintage, organic, and "oddball" instruments. Highlights among the 22 songs include "Woke Up Dreaming"-the one acoustic song, and fan favourite, that Bonamassa regularly plays during his electric shows- as well as "Around The Bend," "Driving Towards The Daylight," "Ball Peen Hammer," and "Sloe Gin." <br/> <br/>The show is produced by Kevin Shirley, whose productions have been at the top of the charts for decades, including works from Led Zeppelin and Iron Maiden to Beth Hart and John Hiatt.<br/><br/>"To say this was a challenge is an understatement," said Bonamassa. "To say this was a departure from anything I had ever done before is an even bigger understatement. I can say with full certainty that it was the most enjoyable tour I have ever done. On this tour I really learned the virtues of my singing lessons over the years. Take away those long guitar solos, all that sustain and that big Gibson sound and what is left leaves you no option but to dig deep and sing until you can't sing anymore."
