WELD (1991) is one of the most groundbreaking albums of Neil Young's history. It's a live album recorded with Crazy Horse after the release of RAGGED GLORY. It was from a wildly creative period of the band's history, and as Neil Young has often done, gave notice that he was a rock & roll originator who could never be second-guessed.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers famously played 20 nights at the legendary Fillmore venue in San Francisco in 1997. 6 of the shows were professionally recorded and this release features some of the high points of the residency. The small venue allowed the band to vary their sets each night; they included re-arranged and distinctive versions of their hits, deep cuts, and many cover versions-paying tribute to the artists that Tom and the band had been influenced by. The 3 LP set includes 33 tracks, 18 of which are covers-2 hours of music. The tri-fold sleeve includes a 4-page insert.

Robert Plant's Saving Grace, his first album with a new band of distinguished players, is what he calls "a song book of the lost and found." Its genesis was during lockdown in "The Shire," when Plant's customary wandering was all but forbidden. It was in the English countryside that he connected closely to this diverse group of musicians-vocalist Suzi Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley, cellist Barney Morse-Brown-who had a shared lean towards his corners of evocative song. Produced by Plant and the band and recorded over six years in the Cotswolds and on the Welsh Borders, Saving Grace breathes fresh life into a treasury of songs by Memphis Minnie, Bob Mosley (Moby Grape), Blind Willie Johnson, The Low Anthem, Martha Scanlan, Sarah Siskind, and Low.

This new collection of Neil Young with Crazy Horses; earliest recordings include several original versions that have not been released before, and along with the 7-inch Mono mix that was released in 1970 that includes a guitar outro not on LP version not on original LP version. <br/><br/>All the songs on EARLY DAZE sound and feel like a new beginning for where rock &amp; roll was going at the end of the 1960s. <br/><br/>The tide was turning on some of the psychedelic experimentation of the San Francisco bands, and moving towards a style of intricate songwriting and bands that were able to take the beginnings of folk-rock and find new ways to let it explode in different settings. <br/><br/>Neil Young with Crazy Horse were leading the charge in this completely expressive style of new music. It opened doors for a wide variety of new styles, and allowed a whole generation of musicians to find a new way forward. In many ways, that achievement.

A perennial favorite, MOONDANCE is often regarded as one of the best albums of all time. Ten years ago, the deluxe edition of the record was released to wide acclaim, with critics and fans basking in the context provided by previously unreleased songs from the recording session. This one extends that look behind the curtain into the "making of" a masterpiece. The RIAA-platinum certified classic was written and composed by Van Morrison himself, and is often credited with ushering in the "soft rock" era. Hits from the collection include "Come Running," "Into the Mystic," "Crazy Love," and of course, the title track "Moondance."

When Neil Young assembles a special edition of his songs, the delight is in the details. DUME is a new limited-edition all analog vinyl pressing of 16 songs originally collected for Neil Young's Archives Vol. II release in Fall of 2020. The recordings-some part of the historic ZUMA album sessions by Neil Young & Crazy Horse, and others previously unreleased-are a detailed look at one of the most exciting periods in Neil's rock & roll life. DUME captures the live-wire spark of Young's music during those years, and this full-bore attack is somewhat of a turning point for Young and the band. Artists had found a way to move in their own direction and follow a path that opened before them.<br/><br/>These sixteen tracks from the ZUMA-recording period on this limited-edition vinyl pressing turn into a somewhat kaleidoscopic view of the era, and really present an album that becomes its own being.
