WELD (1991) is one of the most groundbreaking albums of Neil Young's history. It's a live album recorded with Crazy Horse after the release of RAGGED GLORY. It was from a wildly creative period of the band's history, and as Neil Young has often done, gave notice that he was a rock & roll originator who could never be second-guessed.

RAGGED GLORY (1990) was a non-stop celebration for the music Neil Young & Crazy Horse are still creating at full force, and was recorded at Young's Broken Arrow Ranch in Northern California. The 10 song original album is expanded for this re-issue with 4 rare tracks. "Interstate" and "Don't Spook The Horse" were both b-sides to singles. "Box Car" and the 12 minute "Born To Run" were both previously unreleased versions prior to release in the ORS 5 box. The 4 additional songs have resulted with the album expanded to 3 LPss. The album was remastered from the original analogue tapes.

Med låten "Fasta klippa" skrev Pugh Rogefeldt hösten 2022 ett slags musikaliskt testamente över sin karriär. Hans version av en 1700-talspsalm avslutas med toner ur genombrottslåten "Här kommer natten" från 1969. Den massivt hyllade "Fasta klippa" rundade på många sätt av ett slut som inletts med en utsåld spelning på Cirkus i Stockholm i oktober 2019, varpå en neurologisk sjukdom alltmer tog ett oresonligt grepp på mannen som en gång uppfann gebitet rockmusik på svenska. <br/><br/>Men parallellt med att sjukdomsprocessen eskalerade hann Pugh med att spela in ett minialbum som han länge haft visioner om, och som nu släpps . <br/><br/>Anslaget på "Guds finger" är precis som i "Fasta klippa" om man vill "religiöst." I ett sent pressmeddelande slog Pugh visserligen fast: "Jag har inte blivit religiös!". Men det är ur en religiös tradition han med känsla hämtade de låtar som först innebar "Jesus i mobilen", utgiven julen 2019, och tre år senare "Fasta klippa".<br/><br/>Dessa kompletteras på det nya albumet av låtarna "Breda hav", "Ingen annans fel" och "Trassel och problem". Alla inspelade med den mångfaldigt Grammisbelönade producenten och multiinstrumentalisten Johan Lindström i samspel med basisten Robert Östlund och trumslagaren Kontrad Agnas. <br/><br/>Assisterade av Pughs mångårige partner, producenten Micke Lyander, skapades i den senares studio i Visby en känsla av amerikansk söder med hjälp av Hammondorgel, bleckblås och tramporgel.<br/><br/>Bakgrunden till låtarna skiftar från den brittiska hymnen "Amazing Grace" ("Breda hav"), över "Jesus i mobilen" ("1900-talsgospeln "Jesus On The Mainline") och bluesmannen Blind Willie Johnson ("Ingen annans fel"), till suggestiv gospelpunkkraut i "Trassel och problem."<br/><br/>På albumet finns även som avslutning "Begravningslåt", en instrumental som om man vill knyter an till den filmmusik Pugh gjorde på 1970-talet, exempelvis till filmen "Vem älskar Yngve Frej?". Det var ett önskemål från Pugh att det korta stycket skulle spelas på hans begravning. <br/><br/>Han hade gjort en enkel inspelning på egen hand och brände ner låten på en CD. När Pugh blev sämre fick en av sönerna i uppdrag att leta i studion, och där hittade han en skiva som det stod "begravningslåt" skrivet på.<br/><br/>I vinylformatet kommer "Guds finger" med en talande tyst blank sida B, detta är ett starkt men samtidigt oavslutat verk. <br/><br/>Det finns rakt genom de sex spåren en omisskännlig gospel a la Pugh. Stundtals lågmält sakral, andra gånger rockigt rivig. Pugh nosade vid stämningarna redan 1999 med hitlåten "Gammeldags tro". Men det som då lite var en lustifikation är i de nya låtarna på riktigt, det var med stor respekt Pugh & ensemblen närmade sig materialet och det märks med all tydlighet.<br/><br/>"Om nån frågat mig för tio år sedan om jag kan tänka mig att spela in religiösa låtar hade jag svarat nej", sa Pugh Rogefeldt i pressmeddelandet vid utgivningen av "Jesus i mobilen".<br/>Vi är i dag mycket glada att han kom till andra tankar.<br/><br/>Det postuma albumet är en ytterst värdig avrundning på en skivkarriär som inleddes 1968 och hann täcka sju decennier. <br/><br/>En karriär som på åtskilliga sätt definierat även övrig svensk rockmusik. Uppslutningen vid hyllningsgalan 18 oktober 2023, återigen på Cirkus, bekräftade det enorma genomslaget för Anders Sture Torbjörn "Pugh" Rogefeldt, 2 mars 1947 - 1 maj 2023.

Neil Young continues his Official Release Series (ORS) with the next installment of four classic titles from the 1990s. ORS Vol 6: Discs 26, 27, 28 & 29 collects HARVEST MOON, UNPLUGGED, SLEEPS WITH ANGELS and MIRROR BALL in the ongoing reissue series. <br/><br/>Each disc in the limited edition, numbered box sets will contain 4 albums with the original, historically accurate artwork and will be reissued on double vinyl LPs, while the CD box contains single CD sets per title. MIRROR BALL is an analog recording and the album has been remastered from the original analog masters by John Hanlon and Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Additionally, four of the tracks have been remixed by John Hanlon and Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. ("I'm The Ocean", "Big Green Country", "Truth Be Known", "Throw Your Hatred Down"<br/> <br/>HARVEST MOON (ORS Disc 26), originally released in 1992, helped open a new decade of Young's music with what would become instant new classics like the title track "Harvest Moon," "From Hank to Hendrix," and "One of These Days." It included originals written in the 1980s as well as brand new songs, which quickly became fan favorites and one of the most beloved albums in Young's recorded output. <br/> <br/>UNPLUGGED (ORS Disc 27), originally released in 1993, was first recorded for an MTV Unplugged concert, along with additional live recordings. Young thoughtfully assembled a group of musicians he had recorded with over the years for this special aggregation that quickly became a collector's item as tapes were first shared from the show among his fans. The official live album is considered an acoustic one-of-a-kind release from Young's 90's cannon. <br/> <br/>SLEEPS WITH ANGELS (ORS Disc 28), originally released in 1994, is an album that wrote its own legend when released. Including the 14-minute song "Change Your Mind" and "Unknown Legend," it had a distinctiveness with Crazy Horse that Young achieved by keeping the sessions as spontaneous and immediate as possible allowing the tracks to breathe and come to life in real time. SLEEPS WITH ANGELS was the last album to be produced by Neil's long-time collaborator David Briggs, who passed away in 1995 at age 51, which also brings a special meaning to these recordings. <br/> <br/>MIRROR BALL (ORS Disc 29), is a double-album originally released in 1995 and recorded with Pearl Jam. Considering the Seattle band was one of the prime movers of rock bands in the 1990s, it was an event immediately upon its release, and found a rabid, younger audience and inspired long-time fans alike with its inherent high energy. Songs like "I Am The Ocean," "Throw Your Hatred Down" helped impact so much of the second half of the 1990s. <br/> <br/>The OFFICIAL RELEASE SERIES VOLUME 6 - DISCS 26, 27, 28 & 29 (ORS Vol 6) captures a large visceral part of the era, when Young was continuing his exploration of music with an unrelenting edge, in ways that he hadn't really done before. These four releases took him towards a new century, and anticipated some of the musical places he would soon explore. The songs also capture some of the massive changes that the 2000s would bring, and ways that music would take on challenges that are still very much being met.

Buckingham Nicks is the only studio album by the iconic duo of Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. Produced by Keith Olsen, the album was released in September 1973, just a year prior to the pair joining forces with Fleetwood Mac on New Year's Eve 1974.<br/>Buckingham Nicks has achieved legendary status despite, and perhaps due to the fact, that it has never been remastered, reissued, or officially released digitally. Until now. This was the album that caught Mick Fleetwood's attention and led them becoming one of the most successful bands of all time.<br/><br/>LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM: "I met Mick right before New Year's Eve in 1974. Stevie and I were living in LA. We'd done an album on Polydor as a duo, which had come out without making much of a splash, and we were trying to figure out what the hell to do next. Anyway, we were doing demos of new tunes one day at Sound City studio in the San Fernando Valley. At one point I walked towards the control room. I heard a song of ours, "Frozen Love", being played very loudly and I saw this giant of a man standing up, grooving to a guitar solo of mine. I thought, "What is goin' on?", and left them to it. That man was Mick.<br/>When he heard my guitar something obviously clicked in his mind, because after their guitarist Bob Welch left, I got a call from Mick asking if I wanted to join Fleetwood Mac. Originally they weren't looking for a duo, but I said Stevie and I were a package deal."
