Hannah Cohen släpper albumet "Earthstar Mountain" via Bella Union. Albumet (som får 4/5 i betyg av MOJO) förankras i en kärlek för bl.a. Dusty Springfield, Minnie Riperton, Ennio Morricone, Neil Young, Sly & The Family Stone och tillsammans med producenten Sam Owens (Sam Evian) experimenterar de båda med arrangemang som känns både bekanta och helt nya. Gästar gör bl.a Sufjan Stevens (kör), Sean Mullins, Oliver Hill och Clairo (klarinett) - och det var uppmuntran från dem som inspirerade henne mest, och stillheten i hennes vackra liv, som gjorde att bitarna av "Earthstar Mountain" föll på plats. After the success of their debut album Terrapath, which cemented their status as the stewards of the UK's prog-rock scene, Plantoid have returned with their sophomore release: the enigmatic, arresting, and at times downright catchy Flare. Staying true to the band's math-rock roots, the album is awash in heavy, reverberated guitar licks, tempo changes, and mind- altering chord progressions-- all while expanding Plantoid's signature sound towards new horizons, like wall- of- sound shoegaze and vocal-forward rock-pop. It does what all second albums do best; retain the core DNA that set its predecessor apart from the fray, yet evolve enough to excite old fans and new listeners alike.

Join Hands is a kitchen-sink fuzz-pop clusterfuck party record, the debut album from Brighton's colourful alt-rock 4-piece congratulations. Through its laser- focused 10- track runtime, the record treats rock music with irreverence and complete non- seriousness. Combining works in progress from the band's primary songwriters bassist Greg Burns and guitarist Jamie Chellar, with some scraps dating back several years prior to the band's inception, all members of congratulations have combined to to hone and flesh out these songs with vigourous performances and arrangements brimming with ideas and colour.
