Han har sagt att när han skriver musik kan det ibland vara texten som<br/>kommer först, ibland en musikslinga. Bruno Mars kan konsten att skriva catchiga låtar med<br/>trallvänliga refränger. Bruno Mars vill skriva musik som är tidlös och som har sin egen<br/>individuella stil och sound.<br/><br/>Han började med att medverka i B.o.B:s hit "Nothin' On You" och sedan i Travie McCoy's<br/>"Billionaire", låtar som klättrat på listorna. Bägge är dessutom skrivna av Bruno Mars och<br/>producerade av hans eftertraktade produktionsteam The Smeezingtons. <br/><br/>Bruno Mars är även nominerad till sju Grammys, bland annat för "Best Male Pop Vocal Performance".

On working with Avron for this record, Stump notes: "Neal not only taught us how to make records, but has a unique capacity to really take time and focus on a record. We thought it was a no-brainer to work with him again, on a record where that was very important to us, and he was gracious enough to agree to work with us."
