Produced by Bob Rock, Load is the follow-up to Metallica, the best-selling album of the Soundscan era. Load contains fan favorites including "Until It Sleeps," "Hero of the Day," and "King Nothing," and for the first time ever, the original extended version of "The Outlaw Torn" that was originally edited due to manufacturing limits. Livealbumet "Life Live" som släpptes 1983 kom också att bli Thin Lizzys sista släpp. Den spelades in på bandets farvälturné året innan. Inför spelningen på Hammersmith Odeon samlade Lynott många av bandets tidigare gitarrister, bland dem Gary Moore, Eric Bell och Brian Robertson som klev upp och gästade på "The Rocker". På scen stod då inte mindre än fem gitarrister, de tre nämnda och såklart också Scott Gorham och John Sykes. Nu släpps denna klassiska live i en remastrad version.
