Country with a touch of Reggae by Texan Willie Nelson. Including a guest appearance of Jamaican Reggae veteran Toots Hibbert on "I'm A Worried Man" written by June and Johnny Cash. Two tracks were written by Jimmy Cliff, among them the Reggae classic "The Harder They Come" with backing vocals from Hibbert's daughter Lieba Thomas. The rest is recorded in Jamaica in the mid 90's with mostly former Peter Tosh band members under the supervision of producer Don Was.

'Willie And Family Live' was recorded at Harrah's in Lake Tahoe, Nevada and features Willie Nelson at the peak of his career. The album opens (as most Willie Nelson concerts do) with a rocking version of "Whiskey River". Most of Willie's pre-1978 biggies are here. "Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain", "Good Hearted Woman", "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys", "If You've Got The Money (I've Got The Time)." Willie does gospel, "Amazing Grace", "Uncloudy Day", "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" with help from Emmylou Harris and Johnny Paycheck. The "Redheaded Stranger's" vocals are strong and confident all the way through, and his late-70s backing band was among the best in the business at the time.

'Stardust' is the twenty-second studio album by Willie Nelson and it spans the genres of pop, jazz, and country. This is an album of covers of traditional pop songs, but the primary impression it leaves is neither country nor traditional pop. Instead, the key is the tasteful production by Booker T. Jones, swinging but understated percussion, warm bass, and bluesy keyboards. Willie's weary outlaw vocals and sublime guitar picking fit it like a glove. 'Stardust' was on the Billboard Country charts for over ten years, was certified quintuple platinum, won a Grammy Award and the album was inducted in the Grammy Hall of Fame. It's an album that still grows stronger with each passing year.
