Time In The Sun is the 4th full length album from Charleston, SC band Susto. The album was written and recorded in the midst of a lot of life changing events for lead writer/singer Justin Osborne. Like everyone around the world, Osborne was navigating the global issues felt from the pandemic while normal life continued with its own blessings and challenges.. <br/><br/>"We were navigating the global and national issues that everyone else was dealing with, but also I became a father and also lost my father. There was a lot of contemplation going on in my brain, a lot of personal evolution going on in my life, and songwriting was my way of working through it all. The title Time in the Sun is meant to be a monument to my own human existence and also a tribute to the human experience in general. I wouldn't claim to understand what it means to be a human, from the countless different perspectives of the world, but I do have my own experience to reflect on and I want to be able to express and explain that in some way. I guess this album is an attempt at that. At the core though, it's just a collection of songs about my life and my feelings."

Senast satt Buddy Miller upp en studio efter cruisen, bjöd in vänner, nyfunna och gamla, att spela in unika duetter. <br/><br/>Här finns elva unika samarbeten och de artister som medverkar, förutom Buddy och hans band är; Lee Ann Womack, Kacey Musgrave, Kis Kristofferson, Nikki Lane, Lucinda Williams, Richard Thompson, Elisabeth Cook, Shawn Colvin, Jill Andrews, Doug Seegers och Brandi Carlile!

The backbeat feels like a gutsy strut while the lead guitar feels like a revved up engine shifting gears. Denim & Diamonds comes out firing, spit shining the cowboy boots and tossing on a jean jacket.<br/>Produced by Joshua Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), Denim & Diamonds has the Highway Queen embracing a more rock-oriented sound while still maintaining the heartfelt outlaw country sound she has developed across her previous three releases. Denim & Diamonds still has the fuck-off flare of which Nikki has come to be known. Her stylized, story-telling lyrics are all there as well as her catchy country hooks. The outlaw country sound is now balanced out with a gritty guitar and a machine gun snare that echoes the sound of 70's rock.<br/>Nikki Lane has made a record that sounds new and old. Familiar and surprising. She embraces where she has come from, ("First High", "Born Tough") the lessons learned along the way, ("Good Enough", "Try Harder") all while doing things her way, ("Denim & Diamonds", "Black Widow").

Samtliga tolv låtar på "Breakdown On 20th Ave South" är skrivna av Julie Miller och producerade av Buddy. Plattan är till stora delar inspelade hemma i paret sovrum, som de döpte till Studio B, med en humoristisk bugning till den lite mer berömda RCA-motsvarigheten. <br/><br/>"Breakdown On 20th Ave South" är paret Millers första gemensamma album sedan 2009 års "Written In Chalk". Anledningen till att det dröjt så länge är dels att Julie haft hälsoproble, dels att Buddy varit extremt eftertraktad som musik och producnet och jobbat med artister som Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Solomon Burke, Richard Thompson, Shawn Colvin & Steve Earle, Patty Griffin, The War & Treaty med flera.

North Mississippi Allstars följer upp 2019 års Grammy-nominerade album "Up and Rolling" med "Set Sail". Plattan innehåller tio spår producerade av Luther och Cody Dickinson. Bland gästerna märks bland andra Stax-legendaren William Bell, som sjunger på en av plattans höjdpunkter "Never Want to Be Kissed".<br/><br/>Inför inspelningen av "Set Sail" valde bröderna Dickinson att addera två nya medlemmar till bandet; basisten Jesse Williams och sångaren Lamar Williams Jr, son till Allman Brothers-basisten Lamar Williams Sr.<br/><br/>På "Set Sail" skapar North Mississippi Allstars en funky mix av folk, blues, soul och psykedelisk rock. Djupt rotad i tradition men samtidigt i rörelse framåt. Eller som bandet själva säger; Primitiv modernism.
