WELD (1991) is one of the most groundbreaking albums of Neil Young's history. It's a live album recorded with Crazy Horse after the release of RAGGED GLORY. It was from a wildly creative period of the band's history, and as Neil Young has often done, gave notice that he was a rock & roll originator who could never be second-guessed.

Talkin To The Trees feels like a full-on fresh-blooded leap forward as Young steps into his sixth decade in his creative odyssey filled with fearless twists and turns. The Chrome Hearts feature Spooner Oldham (Organ); Micah Nelson (Guitar and Vocal); Corey McCormick (Bass and Vocal); Anthony LoGerfo (Drums); with Neil Young (Guitar, Harp, Piano, Vibes). All songs are written by Neil Young, co-produced by Lou Adler and Young, and recorded at Shangri La Studios in Malibu.

Neil Young continues his Official Release Series (ORS) with the next installment of four classic titles from the 1990s. ORS Vol 6: Discs 26, 27, 28 & 29 collects HARVEST MOON, UNPLUGGED, SLEEPS WITH ANGELS and MIRROR BALL in the ongoing reissue series. <br/><br/>Each disc in the limited edition, numbered box sets will contain 4 albums with the original, historically accurate artwork and will be reissued on double vinyl LPs, while the CD box contains single CD sets per title. MIRROR BALL is an analog recording and the album has been remastered from the original analog masters by John Hanlon and Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Additionally, four of the tracks have been remixed by John Hanlon and Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. ("I'm The Ocean", "Big Green Country", "Truth Be Known", "Throw Your Hatred Down"<br/> <br/>HARVEST MOON (ORS Disc 26), originally released in 1992, helped open a new decade of Young's music with what would become instant new classics like the title track "Harvest Moon," "From Hank to Hendrix," and "One of These Days." It included originals written in the 1980s as well as brand new songs, which quickly became fan favorites and one of the most beloved albums in Young's recorded output. <br/> <br/>UNPLUGGED (ORS Disc 27), originally released in 1993, was first recorded for an MTV Unplugged concert, along with additional live recordings. Young thoughtfully assembled a group of musicians he had recorded with over the years for this special aggregation that quickly became a collector's item as tapes were first shared from the show among his fans. The official live album is considered an acoustic one-of-a-kind release from Young's 90's cannon. <br/> <br/>SLEEPS WITH ANGELS (ORS Disc 28), originally released in 1994, is an album that wrote its own legend when released. Including the 14-minute song "Change Your Mind" and "Unknown Legend," it had a distinctiveness with Crazy Horse that Young achieved by keeping the sessions as spontaneous and immediate as possible allowing the tracks to breathe and come to life in real time. SLEEPS WITH ANGELS was the last album to be produced by Neil's long-time collaborator David Briggs, who passed away in 1995 at age 51, which also brings a special meaning to these recordings. <br/> <br/>MIRROR BALL (ORS Disc 29), is a double-album originally released in 1995 and recorded with Pearl Jam. Considering the Seattle band was one of the prime movers of rock bands in the 1990s, it was an event immediately upon its release, and found a rabid, younger audience and inspired long-time fans alike with its inherent high energy. Songs like "I Am The Ocean," "Throw Your Hatred Down" helped impact so much of the second half of the 1990s. <br/> <br/>The OFFICIAL RELEASE SERIES VOLUME 6 - DISCS 26, 27, 28 & 29 (ORS Vol 6) captures a large visceral part of the era, when Young was continuing his exploration of music with an unrelenting edge, in ways that he hadn't really done before. These four releases took him towards a new century, and anticipated some of the musical places he would soon explore. The songs also capture some of the massive changes that the 2000s would bring, and ways that music would take on challenges that are still very much being met.

In 1975, Neil Young released Tonight's The Night, an album that is widely regarded as one of the masterpieces in his catalog. <br/><br/>The album was recorded in 1973, following the major success of his album Harvest, but it was not released for two more years.<br/><br/>Tonight's The Night 50th Anniversary Deluxe limited edition will be released with a newly expanded tracklisting.<br/><br/>The original artwork has been creatively reimagined for this limited edition release.

Oceanside Countryside is the latest of Neil Young's great "lost" albums to be released as part of his Analog Original Series. The album was recorded from May to December 1977, preceding the release of Comes A Time in 1978. The two albums share the same country/folk sound, and three songs ("Goin' Back", "Human Highway" and "Field of Opportunity") appear on both albums.<br/><br/>The vinyl release of Oceanside Countryside includes some tracks that are on the CD of the same name in Neil Young's Archives Vol. III. However, this track list is how Oceanside Countryside was originally planned to be released. Recorded on tape, these are the original mixes done at the time of recording. <br/> <br/>All the songs on the "Oceanside" are performed solo by Neil Young. On "Countryside" Young is joined by a band of his friends: Ben Keith (Steel Guitar), Rufus Thibodeaux (fiddle), Karl T. Himmel (drums), Joe Osborne (bass). On "The Old Homestead" Tim Drummond plays bass and Levon Helm plays drums. "Pocahontas" is Young solo.<br/><br/>Please note that while the songs on Oceanside Countryside appear on Archives Vol.III, the versions are not always the same and the track list is the running order for the original Oceanside Countryside album. On this Analog Original vinyl release, the versions of "Lost in Space," "Captain Kennedy" and "The Old Homestead" are from Hawks & Doves in 1980. "Sail Away", "Goin' Back", "Human Highway", "It Might Have Been", and "Pocahontas" are the same versions as on Archives Vol. III in digital. "Field of Opportunity" and "Dance Dance Dance" are the original versions that have Young on backing vocals instead of Nicolette Larson as they appeared on Archives Vol.III.

CHROME DREAMS, one of Neil Young's most individual and powerful albums, was scheduled to be released in 1977, but as is often the case with Young, things change. And then change again. What starts as one thing can often end up as another. For all those who have followed the singer-songwriter's ever-evolving career, it's best to let those changes happen.<br/><br/>With CHROME DREAMS, it has been a long time coming to this final version of an album that includes some of rock's most unforgettable songs. And now that it's being released on August 11 via Reprise Records as Young envisioned it. Now is the time for CHROME DREAMS to find its way into the world. As Neil Young hears and sees it.<br/><br/>The music included on CHROME DREAMS is the debut release of the legendary 1977 "Lost" album of 12 classic Neil Young songs, including four originals. The 1974-1976 studio recordings include two previously unreleased versions;<br/><br/>Four tracks never before released on vinyl and manufactured as a 3-sided double album with an etching on side 4.<br/><br/>The 12 songs on CHROME DREAMS may have existed in other forms at other times, and that is part of the creative process. Many of these are the originals. The summer 2023 release as it is coming to life now is exactly how Young perceived it and has a sense of monumentality about it that conveys a place in history. Songs like "Pocahontas," "Like a Hurricane," "Powderfinger," "Homegrown," "Stringman," and "Look Out for My Love" join six other tracks to finally present CHROME DREAMS as a guide into the world of a musician who leads the way into the future, never second-guessing what could have been. <br/><br/>Some of the historical lineage of the songs on CHROME DREAMS today include:<br/>"Powderfinger" is the early/first solo version, the original.<br/>"Pocahontas" is the same version that first appeared on RUST NEVER SLEEPS, but without the overdubs.<br/>"Sedan Delivery" and "Hold Back the Tears" are originals with lyrics that were not included in later released versions. Both are very different versions than previously released.<br/>"Stringman," is another original performance, included on the ODEON/BUDOKAN disc in ARCHIVES VOL. II; prior to that the song had only appeared on Young's UNPLUGGED album in a later version, not the original.
