Doodswens is a Dutch Black Metal band formed in 2017 by I. Live she performs the drums and vocals, joined by R. & P. on bass and guitar. Doodswens translates to Deathwish, but the meaning and heavy load to the word in Dutch translates better to Driven by Death. The self-titled sophomore album by Doodswens is out on April 17th 2026. After establishing themselves in the Dutch scene, Doodswens gained an international following doing tours with Marduk & Gorgoroth. Doodswens' performances are ceremonial and ritualistic, which have been reported to be as uplifting as they are devastating, depending on the demons you bring them to offer. Whatever you carry with you will be exposed. They like to confront instead of bringing comfort.

Läjä Äijälä: Circle of Pain [CD]

UNEARTHLY RITES delivers filthy, mold-ridden death metal deeply rooted in the muddy sewers of the Finnish DIY punk and hardcore scene. The band will release its second full-length album, Tortural Symphony of the Flesh, via Svart Records. Formed in 2020, Unearthly Rites has previously released an EP (s/t, 2021) and one full-length album (Ecdysis, 2024), which explored dystopian visions of colonialist greed and ecocide. The forthcoming second album expands and intensifies this thematic core; Tortural Symphony of the Flesh presents a total meltdown of nature, humanity, and machine, and of transgression, lust and power. Musically, the album advances the band's crushing riffs and characteristically moldy grimness toward a more malicious and brutal soundscape. Unearthly Rites does not merely document the atrocities of capitalist society but explicitly calls for action in defense of nature and the rights of ethnic, gender and sexual minorities.
