Svart Records continues to reissue the discography of Legendary Argentinian blues rock band Pappo's Blues with their second album Volumen 2 out on vinyl in June 2025. Volumen 2 is the second studio album Pappo's Blues, released in November 1972. On this album guitarist Norberto "Pappo" Napolitano established a style with influences of hard rock, blues rock and acid rock, adapting the power trio scheme inaugurated by Cream and Jimi Hendrix Experience to an urban sensibility that integrated naturally into rock of the early 70s. Featuring eight songs all composed by Pappo with each track showing the genius of him as a composer, performer and guitarist, filled with memorable riffs and solos, as well as a lyrical sensitivity that reflects his image as a Buenos Aires guitar hero.

Tasavallan Presidentti’s annual performances at Ruisrock in Turku, Finland during the festival’s early years were proof of the band’s rapid ascent from a local band to an internationally renowned group of top musicians. “Pressa” left a lasting mark on many a festivalgoer, and the most optimistic ones were hoping to get these performances on a live album, if recordings existed. They do exist, and what remains on tape of the first ever Ruisrock performance was released on Changing Times and Movements (Svart Records), and the show at Ruisrock 1971 is now coming out on this album.

With the vocal talent Jess as their frontwoman and three guitars in the lineup, JATAO draws inspiration from heavy metal and rock groups of the classic era, such as Mercyful Fate, Roky Erickson, Iron Maiden and Abba. The album was recorded in December 2011 by Necromorbus Studio, known for their previous work with bands such as Watain. The result of these sessions is the eponymous album, a 53-minute moonlight ride into the nether regions of progressive occult heavy rock.Svart Records releases the new edition of this modern classic on 25 October 2024 as a part of the record label’s 15th anniversary. Jess and the Ancient Ones’ self-titled debut album will be out on CD, black and transparent lime/black marble vinyl.
