In 'Tremors' (1990) handymen Val McKee (Kevin Bacon) and Earl Bassett (Fred Ward) are preparing to leave the small desert town of Perfection, Nevada when their departure is halted by strange rumblings beneath the earth. When seismology student Rhonda LeBeck (Finn Carter) discovers that the tremors are being caused by giant underground monsters, the trio soon find themselves caught in a fierce battle for survival. In 'Tremors 2: Aftershocks' (1995), when workers at a Mexican oil refinery find an infestation of Graboids, they turn to Earl Bassett for help. He recruits his old friend Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) and they begin to hunt the creatures together, aided by Grady Hoover (Christopher Gartin) and scientist Kate Reilly (Helen Shaver). Unfortunately for them however, the creatures have evolved and are now able to replicate exceptionally quickly, making stopping them an almost impossible task. In 'Tremors 3: Back to Perfection' (2001) Burt returns to his hometown of Perfection and discovers that there are three Graboids in the area. As he attempts to lead the fight to destroy them, government agents seek to prevent him from hunting them. Meanwhile, things go from bad to worse when a new species of Graboid makes its presence felt. 'Tremors 4: The Legend Begins' (2004) is the prequel to 'Tremors' (1990). In 1889, workers in the remote mining town of Rejection, Nevada fall victim to an unseen predator. The mine's owner Hiram Gummer (Gross) hires gunfighter Black Hand Kelly (Billy Drago) to destroy the Graboids but with the entire town at risk, will Hiram flee or stand and fight? In 'Tremors 5: Bloodlines' (2015) survivalist star Burt and his cameraman Travis Welker (Jamie Kennedy) are called upon to help the South African Wildlife Ministry deal with a new species of Graboid. However, when they discover what they're really up against, the hunters become the hunted. In 'Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell' (2017) Burt and Travis travel to Canada to investigate reports of Graboid attacks. They fear that Graboids are being used by the American military to develop bio-weapons but face a race against time to save Burt when they learn that he has been infected by Graboid venom. Finally, in 'Tremors: Shrieker Island' (2020), big game hunter Bill (Richard Brake) has been genetically engineering Graboids, making them more powerful and intelligent and thus more challenging to hunt. In 'Species II' (1998) Dr. Laura Baker has created a pseudo-alien clone, Eve (Henstridge), to assist her research after another series of alien killings begins. Reuniting with Preston Lennox, Laura realises that astronaut Patrick Ross (Justin Lazard), recently returned from Mars, is the culprit. Having become infected with the alien virus, he is now obsessed with spreading his seed across planet Earth. In 'Species III' (2004) a fatal hybrid weakness has given humans the advantage in the ongoing fight for supremacy between mankind and human/alien hybrids. However, when Sara (Sunny Mabrey), the daughter of Eve is born, she grows into the most genetically perfect alien form yet. Seeking to repopulate her kind, she heeds an overwhelming drive to mate, while a skilled military team trails her in an attempt to end the war between the two species forever. Finally, in 'Species IV - The Awakening' (2007), college professor Miranda Hollander (Helena Mattsson) realises something is wrong when she wakes up from a blackout surrounded by mutilated bodies. With the oncoming threat imminent, the rebels manage to bargain Neo's freedom and begin their final quest for freedom. In Ridley Scott's 'Alien' (1979) the crew of the Nostromo starship are on their way back to Earth after completing a mission when they are diverted to a planetoid to investigate a cryptic message. While exploring an abandoned spacecraft on the planet, they come across a store of unhatched eggs. When one of the eggs releases a mysterious creature that leeches on to a crew member's face, the others bring him back on board to recover from the ordeal. Little do they know that they have also brought on board an alien lifeform that will kill anyone or anything that gets in its way. In James Cameron's sequel, 'Aliens' (1986), sole survivor from the Nostromo Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) awakens after 57 years in stasis, and with a team of Space Marines in tow she returns to the planetoid now named LV-426 to investigate the loss of contact with the terraforming colony in residence. In David Fincher's dark 'Alien 3' (1992), Ripley crash lands on an old prison planet used to house convicted murderers - but she's not alone. When Ripley discovers her body is being used to carry an alien queen she faces a difficult decision to save humanity and sacrifice herself. In Jean-Pierre Jeunet's 'Alien Resurrection' (1997), 200 years after Ripley died bearing the alien queen, a group of scientists successfully produce clones of both her and the alien. The United States Military, hoping to use the queen to breed aliens to study, fail to keep the clones locked up and they escape. It is not long before the new Ripley is forced to team up with a gang of smugglers to repel the alien clones that are set on destroying life on Earth. In 'Prometheus' (2012) Scott returns to direct a new cast of Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron and Guy Pearce. After finding fragments of alien DNA, a team of scientists known as The Company travel into space aboard the state-of-the-art Prometheus spacecraft to investigate the origins of human life on Earth. Their journey takes them into the darkest corners of the universe - but, to their horror, their inquisitive nature ends up posing a threat to the future existence of humankind. The scientists now find themselves tested to their mental and physical limits as they fight a desperate battle to preserve the future of the human race.
