In order to escape his captors, Max teams up with Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron), a woman who wants to travel across the desert and find her way back home. But, after liberating five female captives from Joe's clutches, she too must escape from the gang leader and his henchmen. Finally, the prequel 'Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga' (2024), set almost two decades prior to the events of 'Mad Max: Fury Road' (2015), follows Furiosa (Anya Taylor-Joy) as a young girl living in the abundant Green Place of Many Mothers. Despite her mother's desperate attempts to save her, Furiosa is abducted by a group of raiders when they infiltrate the Green Place.
