Finally, in the prequel 'Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning' (2004), two orphaned sisters are making their way across a cold, harsh wilderness when they stumble upon the remains of a broken-down Indian outpost that has been the target of a series of savage attacks from werewolves who have killed a substantial percentage of the community's population.
