In 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' (1990) the evil Shredder (James Saito) kidnaps Splinter (Kevin Clash), the rat ninja master who trained the turtles, and intends to cause mayhem. Thankfully, the turtles have been armed with an anti-mutant antidote and, with the help of a journalist, embark on an adventure to save Splinter. In 'The Secret of the Ooze' (1991) Professor Perry (David Warner), the man who invented the ooze that created the ninja turtles, is captured by Shredder (Francois Chau). Shredder wants to control the ooze to use on his own sidekicks and turn them into evil ninjas. So once again, it's up to the turtles - who have also enlisted the help of kick-boxing, pizza-delivery boy, Keno (Ernie Reyes) - to save Professor Perry. In 'Rope' (1948), flatmates Brandon (John Dall) and Philip (Farley Granger) murder their friend David Kentley (Dick Hogan) purely to see if they can get away with it. They then throw a cocktail party, serving food from the top of the trunk where they have hidden David's body. Their guests include both David's father and fiancée, as well as college lecturer Rupert Cadell (James Stewart), who becomes increasingly suspicious as the evening goes on. In 'The Man Who Knew Too Much' (1956) Dr. Ben McKenna (Stewart) is on holiday in Morocco with his wife, former singer Jo (Doris Day), and son Hank (Christopher Olsen) when he meets the friendly but mysterious Frenchman Louis Bernard (Daniel Gelin). The McKennas are also befriended by the Draytons, an English couple who take them to the local bazaar. There, Ben is confronted by an Arab man who, after being shot in the back, whispers a dying message to him. It transpires that the Arab is in fact a disguised Bernard, and that he has entrusted Hank with the identity of a British politician who is due to be assassinated. After being questioned by the police, Ben and Jo return to their hotel, only to discover that the Draytons have checked out and taken Hank with them in order to ensure Ben's silence. In 'Torn Curtain' (1966), famous nuclear physicist Michael Armstrong (Paul Newman) defects to East Germany with the intention of acquiring a secret formula from enemy scientist Gustav Lindt (Ludwig Donath). However, Armstong's mission is jeopardised when he is followed by his assistant and fiancée Sarah Sherman (Julie Andrews). In 'Topaz' (1969), CIA agent Michael Nordstrom (John Forsythe) learns from a Soviet defector that Russia has become embroiled in the Cuban missile crisis via a NATO spy codenamed Topaz. Enlisting the help of French agent Andre Devereaux (Frederick Stafford), Nordstrom attempts to discover the link, but his actions have disastrous international consequences. Finally, in 'Frenzy' (1972), Barry Foster stars as market trader Robert Rusk, a psychopathic killer who strangles women with ties. In 'Transformers' (2007) a battle rages between two camps of an alien race from the planet Cybertron - the Autobots and the evil Decepticons. In an effort to prevent the Decepticons from gaining possession of the Allspark, a cube with the capacity to grant infinite power, the Autobots managed to smuggle the object to Earth, where they secretly hid it. Now, hundreds of years later, with the Decepticons searching for the cube, the Autobots enlist the help of young earthling Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) to help foil the Decepticons' plans for world domination. In 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' (2009), after he glimpses the truth about the ancient origins of the Transformers through a powerful vision sent to him by the Allspark, Sam once again finds himself the target of the evil Decepticons, who have returned to Earth under the command of the formidable Starscream (voice of Charles Adler). Joining the Autobots' mission to protect humankind is Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen), who forms an alliance with international armies for this second epic battle. In 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' (2011), when the Autobots discover that a Cybertronian spacecraft is hidden on the Moon, a race against the Decepticons ensues as both sides battle to reach it first. In 'Transformers: Age of Extinction' (2014), four years after the invasion of Chicago, mechanic and single parent Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) discovers what he believes to be a dilapidated truck and takes it home to repair. However, what he really has resting in his garage is a deactivated Optimus Prime. When government officials learn of the discovery they try to push humanitarian boundaries in the name of scientific development. Finally, in 'Transformers: The Last Knight' (2017), with the battle between the human race and the Transformers raging on, mechanic Cade Yeager forms an alliance with English Lord Sir Edmund Burton (Anthony Hopkins) in an attempt to figure out why the Transformers keep returning to Earth. Meanwhile, Autobots leader Optimus Prime learns he was responsible for the death of his home world Cybertron. In 'A Nightmare On Elm Street' (1984), American teenager Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp) begins to suffer from nightmares, only to discover that many of her friends are having similarly disturbed nights' sleep. Their dreams are haunted by the hideously scarred former child murderer Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) who, it soon transpires, has the power to kill them in their sleep. Freddy is out to exact his revenge on the children of those who burned him alive in retribution for his crimes, and the only way to avoid his reprisals is to avoid sleep - but Nancy knows that she can't stay awake for ever. In 'A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge' (1985), the Walsh family have moved into the house formerly owned by the Thompsons and it is not long before teenage son Jesse (Mark Patton) is having bad dreams. He and girlfriend Lisa (Kim Myers) attempt to work out what is happening to him, but before long Jesse becomes convinced that Freddy has taken over his body in order to continue his murderous rampage. In 'A Nightmare On Elm Street: Dream Warriors' (1987), Nancy, now a psychiatric doctor, teams up with Dr Neil Goldman (Craig Wasson) when a group of teenagers at his hospital begin to suffer a shared nightmare and soon realises that Freddy has returned to continue wreaking his revenge on the descendants of those who killed him. In 'A Nightmare On Elm Street: The Dream Master' (1988), Freddy has killed off all the children who originally punished him for his crimes, but now he's back and killing their friends. Luckily, Alice Johnson (Lisa Wilcox), one of the endangered kids, has the special ability to bring others into her dreams. She is the Dream Master and therefore the only one who can stop Freddy from wreaking more of his murderous havoc. In 'A Nightmare On Elm Street: The Dream Child' (1989), Alice is expecting a baby. Unfortunately for her, the meddlesome Freddy finds out about this and begins to control the foetus's dreams, hoping that the birth will be his means of returning to the land of the living. The Dream Master sets to work, taking the battle to Krueger one final time. In 'Freddy's Dead - The Final Nightmare' (1991), having wiped out all the children in his hometown, dreamstalking psycho killer Freddy decides it is time to head for pastures new. Luckily for him, he happens across a home for troubled teens and is soon indulging his unspeakable appetites once again. Finally, in 'Wes Craven's New Nightmare' (1994), a coda to the series in which Craven and his producer play themselves, persuading the now grown-up Heather Langenkamp to return to Elm Street one more time.
