In 'Transformers' (2007) a battle rages between two camps of an alien race from the planet Cybertron - the Autobots and the evil Decepticons. In an effort to prevent the Decepticons from gaining possession of the Allspark, a cube with the capacity to grant infinite power, the Autobots managed to smuggle the object to Earth, where they secretly hid it. Now, hundreds of years later, with the Decepticons searching for the cube, the Autobots enlist the help of young earthling Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) to help foil the Decepticons' plans for world domination. In 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' (2009), after he glimpses the truth about the ancient origins of the Transformers through a powerful vision sent to him by the Allspark, Sam once again finds himself the target of the evil Decepticons, who have returned to Earth under the command of the formidable Starscream (voice of Charles Adler). Joining the Autobots' mission to protect humankind is Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen), who forms an alliance with international armies for this second epic battle. In 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' (2011), when the Autobots discover that a Cybertronian spacecraft is hidden on the Moon, a race against the Decepticons ensues as both sides battle to reach it first. In 'Transformers: Age of Extinction' (2014), four years after the invasion of Chicago, mechanic and single parent Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) discovers what he believes to be a dilapidated truck and takes it home to repair. However, what he really has resting in his garage is a deactivated Optimus Prime. When government officials learn of the discovery they try to push humanitarian boundaries in the name of scientific development. Finally, in 'Transformers: The Last Knight' (2017), with the battle between the human race and the Transformers raging on, mechanic Cade Yeager forms an alliance with English Lord Sir Edmund Burton (Anthony Hopkins) in an attempt to figure out why the Transformers keep returning to Earth. Meanwhile, Autobots leader Optimus Prime learns he was responsible for the death of his home world Cybertron. The third series, 'Vengeance', finds Section 20 in Africa trying to stop billionaire Conrad Knox (Charles Dance) who aims to use stolen Libyan nuclear devices to further his plans for domination. In the fourth series, 'Shadow Warfare', following the execution of a Section 20 operative in Lebanon by Leo Kamali (Zubin Varla), a member of Al-Zuhari's terrorist organisation, Scott and Stonebridge travel to Colombia to try and take him alive. In the fifth series, 'Legacy', Section 20 continue their globetrotting military missions as Sgts. Stonebridge and Scott travel to Thailand to find the kidnapped daughter of the British ambassador where they are caught up in a plot to bomb the embassy. After a North Korean general dies in the blast, Stonebridge and Scott investigate the covert crime syndicate known as Office 39 who planned the attack to provoke a North Korean war with the West. In the sixth series, 'Retribution', Sgt. McAllister (Warren Brown) is tasked with freeing captive American Sgt. Wyatt (Daniel MacPherson) after the disbanded team is brought together again by Colonel Adeena Donovan (Nina Sosanya). Reunited, they go after an escaped terrorist who is believed to be planning another attack. In the seventh series, 'Silent War', McAllister, Wyatt and Lance Corporal Novin (Alin Sumarwata) are tasked with investigating the murder of an undercover British soldier in Malaysia. Their globetrotting mission leads them to join forces with a Russian operative in search of a stolen nuclear warhead before it falls into the wrong hands and sparks a global nuclear war. In the final series, 'Vendetta', Section 20 is on a mission to recover a British scientist held hostage by the Albanian mafia when they learn of a terrorist plot involving a weaponised virus. In 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' (1990) the evil Shredder (James Saito) kidnaps Splinter (Kevin Clash), the rat ninja master who trained the turtles, and intends to cause mayhem. Thankfully, the turtles have been armed with an anti-mutant antidote and, with the help of a journalist, embark on an adventure to save Splinter. In 'The Secret of the Ooze' (1991) Professor Perry (David Warner), the man who invented the ooze that created the ninja turtles, is captured by Shredder (Francois Chau). Shredder wants to control the ooze to use on his own sidekicks and turn them into evil ninjas. So once again, it's up to the turtles - who have also enlisted the help of kick-boxing, pizza-delivery boy, Keno (Ernie Reyes) - to save Professor Perry. Set in Middle Earth 60 years before events in 'The Lord of the Rings', 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' (2012) follows the adventures of hobbit Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), who, at the instigation of the wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen), suddenly finds himself co-opted into joining a company of 13 Dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) to help reclaim the dwarves' lost kingdom of the Lonely Mountain from the clutches of a dragon. After setting out on their quest from the safety of Bag End, the band of travellers soon find themselves pitted against a range of strange and fearsome opponents, in addition to a small, slimy creature known simply as Gollum (Andy Serkis). In 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' (2013), while Gandalf heads south on his own, Bilbo, Thorin and the dwarves enter the treacherous Mirkwood Forest on their way to the mountain. When they reach Lake-town Bilbo has to perform the role he was assigned at the start of the quest - to find a secret door that will lead him to the lair of Smaug the dragon (voice of Benedict Cumberbatch). In the final instalment, 'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies' (2014), Bilbo, Thorin and the other dwarves have unintentionally released Smaug from the Lonely Mountain and endangered the residents of Lake-town. Bilbo has to make a difficult decision when Thorin puts his desire to find the royal jewel Arkenstone before his loyalty to his friends. Meanwhile, Gandalf discovers that the evil Sauron has returned, commanding a horde of Orcs to attack the Lonely Mountain. Bilbo and his friends must fight for their survival as five armies meet in battle. In 'The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring' (2001) Frodo (Elijah Wood) is a hobbit living in the Shire, a quiet, peaceful part of Middle Earth. When it turns out that his elderly relative Bilbo (Ian Holm) is harbouring the ultimate Ring of Power and the evil Nazgul riders of Sauron are coming to find it, Frodo is entrusted by wizard Gandalf to deliver the Ring out of the Shire without it falling into their hands. Frodo leaves the Shire aided by his cousins Merry (Dominic Monaghan), Pippin (Billy Boyd) and trusty friend Sam Gamgee (Sean Astin), but they soon realise that the agents of Mordor are everywhere and that their trip is far from over. Once they reach the Elvish realm of Rivendell the hobbits form part of the anti-Sauron fellowship, which includes Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), Boromir (Sean Bean), Legolas (Orlando Bloom), Gimli (John Rhys-Davies) and Gandalf. Together they must battle across Middle Earth to destroy the Ring by casting it into Mount Doom, the fiery chasm in the centre of Mordor. In 'The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers' (2002) the Fellowship of the Ring has now divided and Sam and Frodo are lost in the hills of Emyn Muil. They are also being followed by Gollum, a creature who promises to help them travel to Mordor. Meanwhile Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli search for the hobbits Merry and Pippin in the Kingdom of Rohan, which is currently being attacked by Saruman's orc armies. Gandalf returns as Gandalf the White to remind Aragorn of his destiny to unite the people of Rohan with Gondor. Whilst the Fellowship is not travelling together they must unite against the powerful forces coming from the Two Towers: Orthanc Tower in Isengard where Saruman has bred a deadly army of 10,000, and Sauron's fortress at Barad-dûr. Finally, in 'The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King' (2003), Gandalf manages to rally Gondor's fallen army with the help of King Theoden of Rohan (Bernard Hill) for the biggest battle in the history of Middle Earth. Meanwhile, Aragorn finally faces up to his noble responsibilities.
