OBS! Import. Kontrollera att språk och textning passar dig.

The complete works of French auteur Jean Vigo are now available on 4K UHD for the first time, on the 120th anniversary of his birth. This collection features Vigo's entire filmography - L'Atalante, Zéro de conduite, Taris, and A Propos de Nice - presented from a 4K restoration completed by Gaumont, La Cinematheque Francaise, and Martin Scorsese's The Film Foundation. This set also includes hours of special features, with alternate versions of the films, documentaries, short films, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and interviews. Vigo, the son of a notorious anarchist, spent most of his early life either on the run or in bad health. Despite these challenges, Vigo created spellbinding cinematic works of poetic realism, culminating in his only feature-length film, L'Atalante. Tragically, just weeks after the release of L'Atalante in 1934, Vigo died of tuberculosis, aged 29. His legacy has been firmly cemented in film history however; not just by the archivists and technicians who have preserved and restored his films, but also by the filmmakers who count Vigo as an inspiration: from the directors of the French New Wave and on to modern masters like Michel Gondry and Luca Guadagnino. Experience the magic for yourself today.

Limited Edition 4K set includes:

- This four disc set includes one 4K UHD with the films, one Blu-ray with the films, and two Blu-rays with the special features
- Presented in a rigid slipcase containing the digipak, booklet and posters
- 100-page booklet featuring a new essay by Ian Haydn Smith, archival writing by François Truffaut and James Agee, as well as essays, speeches, script extracts and unmade projects written by Jean Vigo
- 3 collectible posters featuring 5 designs from throughout the release history of L'Atalante
- New cover artwork by Tony Stella

Special Features:

- Young Devils in School: Zéro de Conduite - Rushes, Sound, and Images
- Winter Shooting: L'Atalante, Rushes and Outtakes
- Zéro de conduite - second version
- À propos de Nice - first version (featuring footage cut by Vigo)
- Musical scores for À propos de Nice by Marc Perrone (2001) and Stephen Horne & Frank Bockius (2017)
- Lines of the Hand (2015), a short film by Guy Maddin, Evan Johnson and Galen Johnson - an adaptation of an unrealized script by Jean Vigo (Les lignes de la main)
- Filmmakers of Our Times: Jean Vigo - a feature-length documentary from 1964 by Jacques Rozier
- Luce, About Jean Vigo (2016) - documentary featuring Luce Vigo, Jean Vigo's daughter
- The Voyages of L'Atalante - a look at the various versions of the film released over the years
- From L'Atalante to L'Atalante - short film made as an intro to the 1990 restored version
- An introduction to L'Atalante by Martin Scorsese
- François Truffaut and Eric Rohmer discuss L'Atalante (1968)
- Four restoration featurettes
- Sounds Regained - a revealing insight into the audio restoration of the films
- Jean Taris: Gaumont newsreels
- Excerpt from Abel Gance's Napoléon - pillow-fight sequence
- Interviews with Lucile Hadzihalilovic, Jean-Paul Civeyrac, Jacques Rozier, and Otar Iosseliani
- Theatrical re-release trailer

Typ: Blu-ray / 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray (Limited Edition)

OBS! Import. Kontrollera att språk och textning passar dig.

All eight series of the acclaimed French police drama starring Grégory Fitoussi, Caroline Proust and Thierry Godard. In the first series, the discovery of a young woman's badly-beaten body on a rubbish tip in Paris sets in motion a police investigation that unravels a trail of corruption leading from the dark worlds of prostitution and drugs to the halls of government, business and the judiciary itself. In the second series, public prosecutor Pierre Clement (Fitoussi) once again joins forces with Police Captain Laure Berthaud (Proust) and crusading judge Francois Roban (Philippe Duclos) to infiltrate Paris's underworld of organised crime, international drugs trafficking and arms dealing. During the third series, the emergence of a brutal serial killer offers Berthaud the chance to restore her reputation, but will her very determination to track down the killer lead her over the edge? In the fourth series, defence lawyer Joséphine Karlsson (Audrey Fleurot) risks all by attempting to defend the rights of a group of unwelcome immigrants. Meanwhile, Berthaud finds herself in the thick of the action when she is seconded to an anti-gang unit shadowing the activities of dissident students engaged in bomb-making. In the fifth series, Berthaud and her team are tasked with solving the double murder of a mother and daughter whose bodies are discovered in a canal. During their investigation they are led to a group of bank robbers while trying to search for missing members of the deceased's family. In the sixth series, after Berthaud returns to work early from maternity leave, she and her team are tasked with solving a murder case after an anonymous dismembered victim is discovered. In the seventh series, Gilou (Godard) and Berthaud reunite to investigate the murder of their former commissioner, Herville (Nicolas Briançon). Joined by Gilou's new partner Ali (Tewfik Jallab), the team find themselves on the trail of a teenage gang member which leads them to uncover an expansive money laundering operation. In the eighth series, a murder investigation into the death of a young Moroccan boy results in Berthaud and her team dealing closing in on a network of drug-smuggling. Gilou is freed from prison however his strict parole conditions place limits on his ability to assist. Meanwhile, lawyer Karlsson is compromised by drug traffickers looking to bribe their way to safety.

Typ: DVD / Box Set

'Jour de Fete' (1949) was Tati's directorial debut and became one of his most famous comedies. After observing the high-speed efficiency of the American postal serivice, the postman, François (Tati), of a sleepy French town is inspired to add a little excitement into his delivery route. This coincides with the arrival of the summer fair, and chaos ensues. 'Les Vacances De M. Hulot' (1953) sees the introduction of the character of Monsieur Hulot (Tati). As Hulot sets off on a holiday by the sea, accidents and severe misunderstandings follow him leaving his fellow hotel guests less than satisfied. In 'Mon Oncle' (1958) Monsieur Hulot returns with his brother-in-law, the manager of a plastics factory. When Hulot discovers that his nephew has been growing up in a house full of gadgets and gizmos he tries to steer him away from a life of automation. In 'Playtime' (1967), Monsieur Hulot returns accompanying a group of female American tourists as they travel through Paris. 'Parade' (1974) is a docudrama starring Tati giving a jovial observation of the circus, including the shenanigans that go on behind-the-scenes of the production. 'Trafic' (1971) sees Tati play Monsieur Hulot for the final time. As he transports his innovative motorhome from Paris to a motorshow in Amsterdam Hulot encounters many problems and hindrances including traffic jams, nose-picking drivers and car crashes.

Typ: Blu-ray / Box Set

'Falbalas' (1945) follows Micheline (Micheline Presle) as she arrives in Paris to prepare for her wedding to Lyon businessman Daniel Rousseau (Jean Chevrier). However, when she falls in love with his best friend, philandering fashion designer Philippe Clarence (Raymond Rouleau), Micheline faces a difficult decision about the direction of her future. 'Edward and Caroline' (1951) follows husband and wife Edouard and Caroline (Daniel Gelin and Anne Vernon) as they prepare to head to a party hosted by Caroline's rich uncle Claude (Jean Galland). With pianist Edouard expected to perform at the event, he wants the couple to be looking their best in a bid to impress Claude and his guests. However, when Caroline decides to remodel her dress in order to make it look more up-to-date, the pair fall out and their evening soon becomes a disaster. 'Casque d'Or' (1952), set in Paris at the turn of the century, follows Georges Manda (Serge Reggiani) as he falls for Marie (Simone Signoret) and faces the wrath of her boyfriend, the petty crook Roland (William Sabatier). Gang boss Felix (Claude Dauphin), who secretly lusts after Marie, orders the two to fight it out for her hand, hoping to eliminate his love rivals. When his boyhood friend is subsequently framed for the murder, Georges, not realising Felix's involvement, does the decent thing and turns himself in to the police. However, when Georges then discovers Felix's role in his downfall, he escapes from custody and sets out on a mission to get his revenge. 'Touchez Pas Au Grisbi' (1954) follows ageing underworld figure Max (Jean Gabin), who, with his colleague Riton (Rene Dary), has stolen 50 million francs in gold bars. When Riton's girlfriend decides to take up with rival gang boss Angelo (Lino Ventura), the whereabouts of the stolen money becomes clear, prompting Angelo to kidnap Riton and demand the money as ransom. Finally, in 'Le Trou' (1960), wrongly convicted of the murder of his wife, Gaspard Claude (Marc Michel) is sent to Paris's notorious Sante Prison, sharing a cell with four hardened criminals. Gaspard soon learns that his new cellmates have been planning a prison break and have begun digging a tunnel in an ambitious attempt to escape. However, despite initially going along with the plan, Gaspard begins to have second thoughts when the guards inform him he is to be released soon.

Typ: Blu-ray / Box Set

'Breathless' (1960) follows the brief love affair between petty criminal Michel (Jean-Paul Belmondo) and young American student Patricia (Jean Seberg). Michel has killed a motorcycle cop and is now hiding out in Patricia's Paris apartment, but the police are getting closer, and as Michel falls deeper in love with Patricia his time also gets shorter and shorter. In 'Une femme est une femme' (1961) Godard deconstructs the classic MGM musical in the first of his films to star then wife Anna Karina. Nightclub stripper Angela (Karina) wants to have a baby but her lover Emile (Jean-Claude Brialy) refuses to co-operate. Angela threatens to get pregnant by the first man that comes along and Emile suggests his friend Alfred (Belmondo), who is in love with Angela. In 'Le mépris' (1963) aspiring playwright Paul Javal (Michel Piccoli) finds himself caught between the creative director (Fritz Lang) and the crass American producer, Jeremy Prokosch (Jack Palance), on a movie adaptation of Homer's epic poem 'The Odyssey'. While the director wants to faithfully recreate Homer's world artistically, the producer demands a more commercial feature and waves his mighty chequebook to make it happen. When Paul finds himself swayed by the power of the producer's money his wife Camille (Brigitte Bardot) begins to regard him with increasing contempt. In 'Alphaville' (1965) private eye Lemmy Caution (Eddie Constantine) is catapulted into space and ends up in Alphaville, a city run by domineering scientist Dr von Braun (Howard Vernon). After Caution sees his chief contact being killed, he becomes determined to strike at Alphaville's cold heart: a powerful computer system that stamps out all traces of individuality and emotion in the populace it controls. In 'Pierrot le fou' (1965) Ferdinand (Belmondo) leaves his wife and child and runs off with the babysitter, Marianne (Karina). The pair head south to find Marianne's brother, with Ferdinand getting caught up in Marianne's crimes along the way as they both spiral toward destruction.

Typ: Blu-ray
