Before long, this unconventional apporach incurs the hatred and derision of her fellow hospital staff, who brand her a whore and attempt to force her out. But her patients, who see her as an angel, come to her protection. 'Szindbád' (1971) recounts the life and loves of ageing womaniser Szindbád (Zoltán Latinovits). As he looks back on his life and faces his own mortality, Szindbád realises that his aversion to emotional attachment has left him with a life devoid of real love or meaning. 'Csontváry' (1979) depicts the life of Tivadar Csontváry Kosztka (Itzhak Fintzi), who left his position as a pharmacist to become an artist. As Csontváry pursues his passion and travels in search of inspiration, Z (also Fintzi), a successful actor due to play Csontváry on stage, struggles to understand the man he must portray. Working in an abattoir, financial director Endre (Géza) finds it difficult to meet people and has, as a result, become rather withdrawn. When he meets the abattoir's new quality inspector Maria (Borbély) however, he discovers that there are other lonely people in the world and as they realise that they are both experiencing the same recurring dream, they begin to examine their lives and find an unexpected friendship underneath the awkwardness. The only light in his life is the bar he frequents, and the beautiful singer (Vali Kerekes) who performs there, with whom Karrer is hopelessly in love.
