Set in 1944, the story follows Auschwitz prisoner Saul Ausländer (Géza Röhrig) who is forced to work with a Sonderkommando unit, burning the bodies of fellow Jews in the camp's crematorium. When Saul finds the body of a young boy he believes to be his son he risks everything to try and save him from being cremated and vows to give him a proper burial. Miklos B. Szekely stars as Karrer, a listless, introspective man who plods his way through his colourless life in quiet desperation. The only light in his life is the bar he frequents, and the beautiful singer (Vali Kerekes) who performs there, with whom Karrer is hopelessly in love. Becoming a nurse, she begins to cure the sick through a miraculous form of sexual healing. Before long, this unconventional apporach incurs the hatred and derision of her fellow hospital staff, who brand her a whore and attempt to force her out. But her patients, who see her as an angel, come to her protection. The film was the official selection at the 2005 Edinburgh International Film Festival, and awarded 'Certain Regard' at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

Told in seperate strands, the first follows Vendel (Csaba Czene), a WWII orderly consumed by lust, who passes the boredom by spying on women around the barracks and discovering that he has the ability to ejaculate flame. His procreative endeavors produce a son, Balatony, (Gergely Trocsanyi) whose speciality is gluttony, seizing any opportunity to stuff himself to the limit. Last in this degenerative family tree is Balatony's son Lajos (Marc Bischoff), a modern-day taxidermist intent on taking his career choice to its logical conclusion - himself.
