Luffy (voice of Mayumi Tanaka) and his Straw Hat pirate crew. In 'The Adventure of Dead End' (2003) Luffy and his crew get involved in a competition with a valuable reward for those who reach the finish line first. But there is a shady character behind this competition, an ex-military commander in fact, whose plan is to lure all the pirates drawn by the competition into military waters and destroy them. The Straw Hats will need all their skill and ingenuity to escape with their lives, and maybe even the reward. In 'The Cursed Holy Sword' (2004) the crew explore an island for a legendary sword of extreme value, but before they can make off with the loot there are marines, distractions and even betrayal to contend with. In 'Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island' (2005) the Straw Hats travel to a recreational island for some relaxation. But once there, not only are the crew asked to engage in competition to win their peace and quiet, but the island begins to have a mysterious effect on the pirates, turning them against one another.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

In 'One Piece: The Movie' (2000) the Straw Hats encounter a pirate captain named El Drago (Kenji Utsumi) who is hunting the legendary treasure hoard gathered by the mythical Woonan. El Drago scatters Luffy and his crew and presses on with his hunt, and so the Straw Hat pirates must regroup and find their own way to the island where the treasure is hidden if they wish to take it for themselves. In 'The Adventure of Spiral Island' (2001) the Straw Hat crew must fight their way up Spiral Island to reclaim their ship, the Going Merry, from the devious siblings who have stolen it. In 'Chopper's Kingdom in the Strange Animal Island' (2002) the crew finds Crown Island and the talking animals which inhabit it. These animals make Chopper (Ikue Ootani) their king, but there are other people on the island who endanger this animal kingdom in their hunt for the legendary horns they think will grant them great power.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

In 'Tokyo Twilight' (1957) graduate Akiko Sugiyama (Ineko Arima) is looking for her boyfriend, Kenji (Masami Taura), with whom she has a troubled relationship, when she meets a woman she believes may be her long-lost mother. Akiko's older sister, Takako (Setsuko Hara), tries to protect her from finding out about how their mother abandoned them but Akiko soon learns the truth with tragic consequences. In 'Woman of Tokyo' (1933) Chikako (Yoshiko Okada) works day and night to pay for her young brother, Ryoichi (Ureo Egawa)'s, university expenses. As the wage from her office job does not cover the costs, Chikako also works as a prostitute during the night, which Ryoichi is unaware of. When his girlfriend, whose brother is a policeman, finds out about Chikako's double life the situation spirals out of control. In 'Early Spring' (1956) office worker Shoji Sugiyama (Ryô Ikebe) is bored with his marriage to Masako (Chikage Awashima) and embarks on an affair with flirtatious colleague Kaneko (Keiko Kishi). Will Shoji be able to repair the damage he has done when Masako eventually finds out?<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

Takashi Shimura plays the drunken angel of the title, a doctor working in a devastatingly poor area of immediately-post-war Tokyo. The area is overrun with competing gangsters who have lost most of their power during the American occupation. Toshiro Mifune - in the first leading role that made him a star - plays a handsome young hoodlum who one night comes to the doctor's surgery with a small bullet wound in his hand. The doctor treats the wound but also diagnoses Mifune as having tuberculosis. The gangster's arrogance prevents him from acknowledging his illness, but his position within his organisation increasingly comes under threat.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

In this tale of revenge, Koichi Nishi (Toshiro Mifune) obtains a position as private scretary to Iwabuchi (Masayuki Mori), the government official he suspects killed his father. Nishi then marries Iwabuchi's daughter and plans a fitting retribution.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

Set in Hiroshima during World War II, 18-year-old Suzu (voice of Rena Nounen) is newly married and finds herself with a hungry family to feed. Despite the strict rations placed on them, Suzu must fight to survive and provide for her family, but when she is accused of being a spy her priorities change from finding food to proving her innocence. The voice cast includes Megumi Han, Yoshimasa Hosoya and Natsuki Inaba.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>
