Efter att de nästan mist sina liv på en eldhärjad oljerigg kastar de sig vidare för att förhindra en katastrof i bergen som orsakats av en jordbävning, varefter de får i uppdrag att rädda passagerarna ombord på ett havererat flygplan på väg att knäckas på mitten och sjunka i djupet.<br/><br/>THE RESCUE gick lös på kolossala en miljard kronor och tog över fem år att få klar. Bara de bästa anlitades till produktionen. För regin svarar actionmästaren Dante Lam (Operation Red Sea), chef för det 450 man starka teamet av effektexperter är Oscarbelönade John Frazier (Spider-Man, Transformers), för scenografin basar Martin Laing (Titanic) och fotot är signerat Oscarbelönade Peter Pau (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon).
