Julen är räddad!<br/><br/>Björn Skifs följer upp succén med förra årets jullåt, "(Christmas Eve) After Midnight", med ett helt album, specialskrivet för honom av samma låtskrivare: Sharon Vaughn (text) och Peter Kvint (musik). Kvint har också producerat.<br/><br/>Björn backas av sitt band, kompletterat av läckra stråkar och blås i ljuvliga, jul-lika arrangemang av Erik Arvinder.<br/><br/>Skifs, som inte ens är speciellt förtjust i jullåtar, föll som en fura när han förra året fick höra "(Christmas Eve) After Midnight". Det gjorde även P4:s lyssnare, som röstade fram den till årets jullåt 2020.<br/><br/>Under den gångna våren föddes idén om ett nyskrivet album på engelska i samma tidlösa "crooner"-anda.<br/><br/>- I somras, när det var som varmast, började det drälla in demos och jag kände direkt att detta var "my cup of Christmas music", säger Björn själv. Varken religiöst eller tomteluvor, men fullt av målande bilder med mycket stämning och fina budskap om kärlek och en önskan om en bättre värld - att bry sig mer om varandra.<br/><br/>Tillsammans med Peter Kvints tidlösa melodisinne och läckra produktion har det resulterat i ett album som både lämpar sig för julen och är "klassisk Skifs", som tar fram det allra bästa ur hans varma stämma.<br/><br/>Här finns både smäktande ballader i rakt nedstigande led från "The Great American Songbook" och medryckande upptempolåtar med pop- och soulkänsla.<br/>Alltsammans inspelat i Kvints studio samt Baggpipe Studion i Skärmarbrink, en gång i tiden känd som EMI-studion, där Björn Skifs och Bengt Palmers gjorde sina 70-talsklassiker.<br/><br/>- Jag har varit skeptisk till julsånger, men det här kändes så rätt för mig att jag fick göra ett lappkast, skrattar Björn. Jag är ovanligt nöjd med den här skivan och hoppas och tror att den kommer att kunna hänga med även efter julen 2021!

Lindsey Buckingham is his first solo release since 2011's Seeds We Sow.
